This place has so much potential to be a knock your socks off establishment. Unfortunately, it's currently rather underwhelming, but I think a few tweaks can get it where it needs to be.
I really do hope management has a chance to look this over and truly take this to heart.

Elaborating further... I understand that covid may have limited menu choices. I never saw the menu pre-covid so I cannot compare. However, now is the time to step it up.
Menu Beer: The draft list is extremely limited. It really is a shame that such a nice looking bar is not being put through its paces. Nobody wants that draft pilsner from 2 hours away and nobody wants bottled beer. Keep it local and keep the kegs flowing. Stock local drafts and you'll see more drink orders at a higher margin.
Wine: nothing from finger lakes??
Food: There are only three entrees to choose from... ny strip, salmon, and pasta with chicken. Let's up the choices here. How about a porterhouse, a ribeye, and a filet? Where are the mashed potatoes?? How about a creamy pasta? What about a red sauce pasta with sausage? Keep the chicken fingers on the room service menu, or on the kids menu. Caesar salad is boring. Where are the actual appetizers??
Service Dull, Inattentive, slow. Dirty fork should leave with the dirty plate it was placed on. Don't take it off the plate and leave it at the table.
Bottom line get some hustle and bustle into the service side and some new choices from the chef and you're golden. Service can offer up recommendations and help push new offerings and specials, chef can experiment and crank out some new dishes. Price accordingly if the new items cost more. The market here...
Read moreBeautiful view from the windows of the restaurant. The floor was very dirty and the chairs looked like they haven't been maintained or cleaned. We waited over 30 minutes after being seated to have a waiter take our drink order. We had to go ask the hostess for help, then someone came quickly. The waiter was apologetic but we then waited another 15 minutes to get a beverage and one of our drinks never arrived; we had to ask again when our food arrived. I heard another guest also ask for a waiter after waiting over 15 minutes from getting seated without ordering drinks. The restaurant really didn't seem very busy. The food itself was just okay. The top of the brioche bun for the hamburger was slippery with grease and the bottom was so toasted it was hard to bite. One party member's fries were burned and another were overly salty. The steak was okay. On arrival, we also overheard the manager turn away a family with two very young children who had reservations, saying they were only serving hotel guests due to eclipse crowds. However, the family claimed they'd called and had a reservation, and the manager just told them they shouldn't have been told they could have a reservation and there was nothing he could do. There were plenty of open tables. I felt so...
Read moreMy husband and I sat at the bar for a few appetizers and drinks. The service was subpar. My husband asked if they had Guiness beer and they did. After two beers he asked for a third and they were out. This of course was not the bartenders fault but a little communication regarding only a few left would have been nice. We ordered risotto, excellent, shrimp tacos and fried crab cakes. The crab cakes were very dark, fried, and salty. My husband ate one and I tried a bite of one. When asked if we were finished I said yes the crab cakes were not good, too salty and on the burnt side. I expected the bartender to remove the item from our menu , however, she did not. She just tossed them in the trash and handed us our bill. Despite the disappointment we still tipped 20% on a $163.00 bill. The bartender took our bill and walked away. No thank you, no have a nice rest of your stay. Just poor service from a place we have been coming to for...
