UPDATE 9/5/24 Notice the response was "...from the owner"? Well, Qdoba is owned by Modern Restaurant Concepts, which has no one person as 'owner'. They also didn't address my concerns - they just threw free stuff at me. This whole thing may be trivial to most, but I've been in CS for over 20 years, and I've always done everything I could to address my customer's concerns, no matter how esoteric. EVERY ONE OF THEM. They haven't lifted a finger to do that, and they've lied to me in the process. ("...from the owner" my a**) That sucks. I don't want free food - I just want genuine responses to my concerns.
The burrito was about 2/3 of the size they used to be. They asked me what "protein" I wanted. It's MEAT. Calling it protein doesn't make the burrito any healthier. The cashier asked me if I wanted chips & queso, then IMMEDIATELY turned to help someone coming in to pick up an online order. There used to be stools at the 'bar' along the windows - they weren't there. (I liked to sit there...) The music was WAY too loud. The QR code on the receipt didn't work. (If you scan it and give them a review, you get free chips & salsa next time.) There were weird discrepancies on the receipt. The money was right, but it said there were things on my burrito that weren't there. I contacted Cust Service via email, but all they wanted to do was get me to create an account so they could give me the free chips & salsa. They didn't address ANY of the other things: where were the stools; why was the music too loud and would they do anything about it; why was the burrito so small compared to the price I paid; why were there things on the receipt that I didn't order, etc. Don't get me wrong - the burrito was still good, but I'll go to Chipotle or Taco del Mar...
Read moreWe are extremely disappointed with our recent catering order. The order arrived incomplete — the tortillas were missing, there was no queso, and a second order of steak was supposedly "combined into one tray." This meant I had to tell our team of 55 people to eat without tortillas and without the full menu we promised them.
When I called to resolve the issue, I was initially told that nothing could be done because the order was verified and complete. Driver called us liars and said he ensured the order was delivered in full and completely correct. Even said that he personally ensured 3 trays of queso was in the box. But no, there was no queso, no tortillas and only 1 tray of steak.
However, much later they admitted that the tortillas had been forgotten and delivered them halfway through our celebration — far too late to be useful. Then, magically without a phone call to give notice, the queso was delivered after everyone had already finished eating. The steak portion was definitely shorted, as there was clearly the same amount as 1 of the 2 trays of the chicken trays we received. Why would you even combine 2 orders into 1 tray? Fajita veggies, beans, and rice were all under cooked.
Overall, this experience was unacceptable, especially for a catering order of this size and cost. They basically called us liars, even though they lied to us multiple times. When I asked the elderly lady can I have more she proceeded to say “You want triple?” Ma’am it’s barely a full scoop and I’m paying extra. No explanation was given, just a smirk and on to the next victim she went. Had I asked for a normal portion I think I still would be skimped. I also got black beans which when I uncovered the bowl it was a soupy sloppy mess. Honestly I should’ve went back to the store and showed them the disgusting salty mess they made. This particular location has had many issues even with online orders and it doesn’t matter the time of day you enter. Lunch rush? Skimped. Dinner rush? Skimped. No one in the store? Skimped. Online order? — You might not even get what you ordered. Whatever you do, do not eat here until all employees have a retraining done or there is new ownership of this franchise with new employees. It use to be a great location but now it should get zero stars. I will follow up my review with corporate because there is no standard expectation here for lack of better terms. Technical speaking, your expectations based on the actual real reviews on here, you will be served a sloppy order and will be overcharged for 2 oz of protein.
