1 YEAR UPDATE* In turmoil of dreary days where I lavish thinking about bright past, this place does not disappoint. The maroon gives me memories of my mother's favorite Sunday dress, chirping birds, the sun shining through the trees, a wind breeze slowly blowing, like a gentle kiss underneath the warmth of a spring day, as I play mindlessly of great capers, with kids I knew I'd never see again, but that didn't stop the inherent comradeship only granted by the innocent during playtime. Such purity represented by the white, a clashing duo akin to the rising of the tides over the sunset. A sight not worthy of the eyes of man and yet we marvel as if it be a present, to warm the hearts of even the most brittle cynics. A unification of humanity in the pretty and the bold, a masterful taste of art, and life itself. Bonded by fate, supervised by the divine. I relish the opportunity to witness such divinity, that is represented by the theme of this restaurant. To walk in and know I am at peace, a relic pastime of a bygone era, brings me to tears. I lament, for this is only the beginning of my baptism into the new world I stumbled upon. The ivory gates of virtue nary open to the disposed, and yet, this capsule of time does not persecute (unless you're a child enjoying ice cream then you get called mean names). I meet my St. Peter, and I hide my astonishment at the sight of such a bountiful selection, procured by means I couldn't fathom. Calmy I receive yet another recommendation, as I did before, and calmly, get back the same wisdom, be it vigor, be it tranquility, be it supernatural, they yet again bestow upon me the perfect combination of topping, condiment, and cream. A mint base, a hot fudge supplement, topped with oreo. The kind of advice that takes years of experience in the art of frozen dairy, and a lifetime of passion. My eyes somber with tears, cradling the moisture like Poseidon reigning the tyrannical ocean blue, but I must move on, for there is a line. This gift of primordial excellence, my own ambrosia, crafted in delicacy, at the hands of a man I'd trust with my life after his courageous influence of courtesy, care, and grace, slips into my hands, and even though I'd give a kingdom of wealth, they say "that'll be $13" and I reply with "okie dokie." No tip. I leave the establishment, and with me, a piece of my soul. For I feel as though I never truly left. Thank you Coldstone. I am dissatisfied Elias...
Read moreas someone who’s previously worked here, if you’re looking for a fun, positive environment to work at or get ice cream, this is your sign that it’s not. coldstone has gone dramatically down hill ever since the new manager was hired. 7 people have quit since she started barely 2 months ago. she bullies and targets people one by one until they realize it’s not worth it and quit, like myself. employees are treated with a significant amount of disrespect and our lives outside of work are not considered in the slightest. the manager would contact us past 11 pm and schedule us on days that we specifically asked off and when we tried to switch shifts with people she was very rude about it. they also threatened to demote me from my shift lead position about half a dozen times because i was unable to work sundays. i ended up working 1 a month and i always got very rude texts and conversations in person from the manager and boss saying i have to quit if i can’t work sundays even though i had previously had a meeting with the boss and previous manager that agreeing 1 sunday a month was ok. the cleanliness there is also a joke. just recently crew members have started wearing masks all the time after being reported to corporate for our manger not wearing one. gloves are also not worn hardly ever. we are in the midst of a pandemic and the manager is too immature to take action and try to stop the spread of the virus. flies fall and get stuck in the ice cream all the time and most of the time are just scooped out with a spoon and the ice cream is still served. at one point, there was a mouse running around in the store for about half a week and the only thing being done to get rid of it was 2 mouse traps. tables are never wiped off and customers complain about it nearly every shift. coldstone has become a joke; especially the management there. if i were you, i would stay as far away from...
Read moreI don’t think I’ve ever written a one-star review, but this has to be said. While this location has good ice cream, there is something to be said about customer service. I have ordered custom birthday cakes from this location on two occasions.
The first time, I arrived at the scheduled time and they hadn’t even begun to make the cake. They couldn’t locate where my order was and were rude the entire time, rolling their eyes and making it feel like it was a chore that they had to make what I had paid a week in advance for. I didn’t say anything, thanked them and left.
Six months passed and I decided to give it another shot for my wife’s birthday. The same thing happened. I had my sister go in to pick up the cake for the surprise party, and she called me to tell me that they hadn’t even started to make the cake.
They had ample time to fix the mistakes they made on that first occasion after it was brought to light, but they refused to do so. When you make a mistake, take responsibility and do what you can to make it right. Be respectful and courteous.
I understand that staff is hard to find right now, and if it’s a system error, I do not blame the employees for this oversight; it is management’s poor leadership and inability to accept responsibility that is to blame. For this reason, I would not recommend ordering from...
