Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreatest Hawaiian food I may have ever had. I love, love all of the chicken, and choose a different one each time. I have tried the pork, but it is WAY too salty for me. I'm sure it is a favorite for some, but not my thing. If you get your rice with a bit of teriyaki, it is yummmmm!! The restaurant is a good enough size to fit a few people, but it's a bit loud. Not enough to not stay, but you are having your meal with everyone in the restaurant. So, it's not a place to have a private conversation. But you're there for the food, right! I also have to say, there are a lot of places that want you to sign up for notifications and "specials" and then just spam the heck out of you... Mo' Bettahs sends you free stuff and tells you when they are having special deals! They are the real deal. You can tell by the lines most of the time during the day. Good stuff. Good, good food, good people. So now, the challenge is to add another location, perhaps more south of this one!
Additionally: My favorite favorite thing to have here is the Poke Salad with meat, specifically the teriyaki chicken. Yummy š. Loaded with chicken, good fresh crispy greens, and some carrots for good nutrition. Green onions, juicy mandarin oranges for freshness and wonton strips for added crunch. This is how I get it for lunch h and supper. My dressing preference is the Oriental it's sweet and savory and a perfect compliment to the teriyaki chicken. It makes the salad sauced without taking away the tastes of everything else. Try everything here. I love it!
Addendum on 5/29/25: I love the chicken and rice I like the teriyaki chicken and the mac salad. I don't feel like I can order a green salad, pole salad without disappointed feelings. They never include all the ingredients anymore. Either they leave off the mandarin oranges, the tomatoes or the wontons. I never know what excuse they are going to give me, but its always something. Sigh... That's a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love the Mo Bettahs in Rexburg. The food is great there, but I'm not sure how the food is when fresh and hot, in Twin Falls. The wait is ridiculous. They were out of brown rice and said it would take about fifteen minutes for the new batch to come out. I said I would wait. It was 45 minutes later when I finally left. My macaroni salad was warm, my meat was cold, my cabbage wilted. They apologized and said they gave me double the rice in apology, but it was the same amount I get in Rexburg normally, which is one large scoop with an ice cream scooper. About half a cup. I have cooked rice before. It doesn't take 45 minutes. My party was so upset after waiting that long, ten minutes before ordering and 45 after, they said they were not hungry for cold food and just wanted to leave. As I had already paid for the food, I took it with me and reheated it for dinner. It was not as good reheated. Very disappointing to all four of us, and embarrassing for me as I had told them it was the best place to eat if you want a quick stop and excellent food.
Edit: I received a text from the owner. He or she apologized and said in order to make the brown rice turn out the right flavor and texture it does take around 40 minutes to cook. The server should have known this and let me know so I could have decided if I wanted to wait that long, or choose the white rice, or if returning at another time to eat there was a better option for me. Also, I measured the rice at home and they did give me a larger portion of about 6oz., so I was wrong about that part. Still love the food and I appreciate the owner getting back to me and explaining. Still a great place to eat, just be sure to set aside that hour and ask them not to plate your food before it's done if you want to wait for the...
