a great eatery and bar at the base of Vail mountain. It is located across the ski yard from Gondola 1. The menu is small, but tasty. The giant pretzel is something that you can’t go wrong with getting. The bar staff is excellent, with a great menu of drinks available. They also can make anything you want if you don’t see it on the menu (assuming they have the ingredients). I recommend the Espresso Martini.

Great location to take a ski break or end your day with a cocktail. It was clean, the service was fairly quick, the bartenders were friendly, and the drinks were delicious! The pretzel with beer cheese was also delicious.

Good location close to lift and nice indoor and outdoor sitting for quick snack and drink. Staff behind bar little rough round edges. Could use some training on customer service especially in location as this.

I would give it 5 stars for the location, but for the lunch I would give it zero stars if I could. What was wrong? Just about everything. We ordered 4 sandwiches and one beer and the bill was $50. That wouldn't be out of line given that we are in the heart of Vail next to one of the gondolas--if the meal had been anything but miserable. Two sandwiches were served on focaccia bread that was incredibly dry. Even after drowning it in mustard and mayo it was still inedible. We ended up pulling the meat and cheese out of the bread and eating it by itself.

Next was a grilled Panini sandwich with roast beef, chiles, and cheese. It was actually fairly tasty but the roast beef consisted of two large chunks of beef that were tough and fatty. I ended up pulling the beef out in one big chunk because it was literally too tough and thick to bite through. I had to gnaw on the beef like a dog and then eat the bread separately.

The last sandwich was a chicken sandwich served on a roll with lettuce, tomato, and avacado. It was reported to be pretty tasty (and by far the best sandwich of the four) but the roll that it was served on was also on the dry side, but not as bad as the focaccia bread.

I should also mention that each of the sandwiches was around 10 bucks and served with NOTHING on the side. No pickle, no chips, nothing. So for 10 bucks you get a barely edible sandwich and a napkin. On the bright side, my beer tasted great and the sun was shining outside.

My recommendation is to buy the beer and skip...

I was pretty disappointed this season with the limited options this time. The food is served apparently only some days.. then there's no wait staff I guess anymore, and as much as this place suppose to be bumpin' for any apres ski time they decide to close at 4pm or so.. blew my mind.. absolutely the most prime real estate .. the way its ran I guarantee they're hitting less than 50% of its potential revenue! [It's a very obvious observation] no entertainment just self order line. Please be better.. make Vail resorts $$ so ppl don't need to pay $300...

Had some of the worst service of my life from Jason the other day. Took forever to get our drinks. Never brought us a carafe of water or checked to see if we needed more water. Had to get other employees attention to get everything including the check which he didn’t split even though we specifically asked for our “checks” and were not a large party. Charged us full price for happy hour drinks etc. the place wasn’t even busy. It felt like he wanted us to leave so he could get a table that was also getting food...
