I try not to complain, especially over one bad experience, but this one was bad. Like my worst dining experience bad.
We have a party of 5, one of those being my toddler. Sunday lunch, my parents took us out for our anniversary, and we get sat after only around 20 minutes, not bad. But then, we sit down, and no one comes. We donât have a server so much as look at us for 25 minutes, until a different server says âhas anyone come to take care of you?â Still after that, another 10 minutes go by before we have to send someone over to a server to ask if weâre getting a server anytime soon. Finally, after 40 minutes after being seated, we put in our drink order and our food order with our server who forgot that she was working at LongHorn and not Texas RoadHouse, mixing up some appetizers and then catching herself saying âoh whoops, sorry about that. Worked at Texas Roadhouse for too long⌠a year and a half was just too much.âwe chuckled, thinking that had to be the worst of it. Unfortunately no. Another 20 minutes go by before we even get our waters and teas. So thatâs about an hour after being sat. In another 25-30 minutes we finally get our cold food, and we never received our salads. Our server comes over, asks if we wanted A1 sauce, we share that information, no apology, didnât even click that we never received our salad, just seemed unbothered, focused on her other tables and large party. We finally finish our food, she comes back with our only refills of the lunch, asks how everything was, we share our experience, and no apology still, she just shared how sheâs gotten cussed out before and âwell and thatâs the thing, you know, Iâm the face, so even though your food was cold, I have to hear about it even though itâs not my faultâ and âmy marbles are just done todayâ. The entire interaction with her was unprofessional, making excuses for the wait because of her 20 person table, rattling off to us all the things she needed to put in for other tables. âI gotta go get some apple juice for them, another tea over there, then what did you need again?â, forgetting our salads, and not taking any responsibility. If we werenât so hungry, we would have walked out, especially while trying to manage a toddler throughout this entire experience. We would have talked to a manager, but one never came to our table and we didnât see one as we walked out.
Iâm sure this experience is out of the ordinary, but when we left at the same time as another party that came the same time we did, they waited just as long for their food as we did with the same server. Had there been some apologies, any sense of urgency, especially after waiting 40 minutes just for waters, I might feel differently. But it was just a bunch of excuses about all the other stuff you have to do, like we were fellow employees, admitting youâre giving us the short end of the stick, without doing anything to rectify that.    Read moreMy daughter and I went to Lone Star on Miller Lane at 3:00pm Saturday 2/1/25. I ordered a 10 oz Salmon with Asparagus and a salad with no tomatoes. My daughter ordered Spicy Chicken Chunks from the appetizer menu, and a side of Mac n cheese. First we was brought shrimp to my daughter who immediately said, I didn't order that. The waiter asked, are you sure? She informed him of what she did order, as she is allergic to seafood. He apologized and returned to the kitchen with the shrimp whatever it was. Which another staff member brought that same dish out and took it to another table. I literally watched the hand off. He accidentally grabbed the wrong plate. He then informed me that my salmon had been way over cooked and that he had informed the kitchen staff to make a new plate. Another kitchen staff member then brings me a huge steak with potato and tried to give me as my meal. I informed that person, that was not my meal. It's now 90 minutes into our stay, I still do not have my salad, nor my meal. As the waiter goes past he apologizes again for taking so long and goes to the kitchen and grabs me a salad, one with tomatoes on it, (I'm highly allergic to tomatoes). A kitchen staff member then brings my daughter her chicken chunks, she never did receive her mac and cheese. I was then brought yet another meal, which is NOT what I ordered. The 4th time, my waiter brought to me a 6 oz filet mignon and loaded baked potato. Which I also cannot eat. When I told him "this is not what I ordered, he asked "are you sure?" I said yes, and 3 meals ago you told me the kitchen had over cooked my salmon. I ate only the 6 oz filet. Let the potato sit as i cannot eat potatoes. We sat 2 1/2 hours, left hungry, and watched as we observed what looked like, NOT ONE KITCHEN STAFF knew where food was supposed to go. Not only that. My bill was completely wrong, so my waiter just discounted items to bring the total cost down. This is completely unacceptable and I'll never return unless they fix their staffing/lack of...
   Read moreI donât usually have a bad experience with them as itâs one of my favorite restaurants but this trip was so disrespectful. First I come in with my lady she is leaving for work overseas amd asked me where I want to eat for my Bday so I chose here she recommended another spot but I love my Cowboy Ribeye so we go here. We walk in and wait a few minutes to be seated after we get to the table the server and greater at having a problem and she didnât want us at her tables she told him no and he still had us seat. After about 2 minutes no service I went to the rest room as I always wash my hands and still nothing 6 minutes later the manager comes and greets us I guess she was not helping he takes our order and she comes by and said she will be right back. Never does. He then come back and said they didnât have her wine not a big issue but ok. I ordered the same as usual cowboy well done fries sig Mac hold that bacon but this visit I got fries instead of the broccoli as I wanted that instead. Food comes out and they put bacon on my Mac the manager intercepts and apologize and said it will be redone understandable there busy and itâs getting late I guess so I cut into my Ribeye and itâs bloody now Iâm a little agitated he come out with my Mac and itâs burnt on top I tell him my steak isnât cooked as requested and he said hes gonna make everything over again he come out with just steak and Mac no fries and the steak now was burnt. The Steak was over cooked lite on weight and very fatty also the mushrooms were lite and under cooked vs any other visits I am pissed now and just asked for my check no comp no discount no sorry the server comes asks if weâre ok I said please bring me some boxes and brings the check and two boxes no apologies for the mess upâs just hereâs you boxes and check I ate some and gave the bones and rest to my dog.
