Not much selection after season, but during season Summer this is the place to go! Universities from the Eaat side come here to enjoy the Awesome beaches, food and sites. This store didn't have anything but last items during the summer. Whatever was left over, they tried giving to my children 3x the worth of items during the summer. Sad to say someone in the store told my Wife that they have a sale? Buy 2 get 1 for half price, they use a car sales pitch to make you think your going to get a deal. So that they can fulfill the next year's summer of 2023! Luckily Wife decided to get Hot chocolate 🍫 from the other vendor, that help much better with better designs that they were offering. Js window shop, during the off peak, because this 31 Ocean, was making us pay 3x more on a hoodie, with 2 tiny designs. For $45.00 ducks, inside the shirt is made in China 🇨🇳. No offense but 2 small designs that are js iron press on is not, a designer, but a simple sweater. Js be aware of this place, was dirty inside, and the person behind the counter, IDK the owner or an employee js on his Apple 🍎 watching and texting. No interest in making a sale, but if customers like myself with children especially children, they see something you love they hike the price up a bit, to make there quota for the da. Js be careful consumer's it yr hard pensions these shirts, souvenir shop tend to continue. Js help yrself to a good browse then find a good price to yr needs. Help yrself with a small picture that...
Read moreThe overall experience was wonderful because the food was awesome. There was a long wait for indoor seating and even longer for the patio. The service, from the hostess to the server, was mediocre at best! The hostess kept walking in front of us, despite there being more room to walk behind, while we were waiting at the hostess stand. Once seated, we waited 10 minutes, seeing several servers walk by in the dining room, before our server finally stopped to greet us. Given COVID, the server made me very uncomfortable because she was not wearing a mask and would stand over our drinks and food to talk to us instead of standing at the other end of the 4-top we were dining at. Now for the good! Hats off to the chefs because most of the food was DELICIOUS! We ordered the fried calamari and grilled octopus as our apps. The fried calamari was cut too thinly and fried to crisp. However, the grilled octopus was magnificent. For entrees were ordered the salmon and the fish and chips. Hubby loved the salmon on the bed of cauliflower rice. My fish and chips were THE BEST I've ever had! We also had dessert: the salted caramel cheesecake is to die for and the sorbet trio was heavenly. We enjoyed our dining experience with few exceptions and our meal was great at a reasonable price for a hotel restaurant in a tourist area. We only paid $150 including...
Read moreI thought that the hostess could have been more aware of dining areas. We were told that the bar was the only area open. However, the bar attendant explained that there would be no server until 4 pm. Which led us back to stand in line again to be seated. The waitress never asked if we wanted a beverage besides the water we received upon sitting. There were no smiles associated with our waitress but definitely a stagger for service. We ordered Oyster Rockefeller and the artichoke dip, which was very delicious. For our entree, we ordered the fish b chips and the lobster roll, which was horrible, overcooked lobster,no moisture, and not the typicalobster roll anticipated way too dry. The fish and chips were greasy, and the fish was bland. We did not feel welcome at this restaurant at all. We had to search for waited mutilple times for service . In closing, although the service was not the best, we still chose not to leave and still gave a tip under deserved. The only person who gave us quality service was the valet who parked the car. super friendly. The next time I visit Virginia, I will absolutely not go anywhere near Catch 31. Never judge a book...
