Catered with this company for breakfast on a Friday and the food arrived a little later than anticipated but everyone really liked it. I had a last minute lunch meeting that needed catering the next day (a Wednesday) and decided to go with G.G. again since everyone seemed to like the food on Friday. The food is not where the review loses 3 stars, the food is good although a little on the pricey side, it was absolutely the service. When I called to make the order the person didn't ask for my name, phone number, or what time I'd like the delivery. I had to call back to offer this information. She also took the order incorrectly and I guess it was a good thing that I had to call back the next morning to pay for my order or it would have been completely wrong and there would not have been enough food for this meeting. I asked that the food be delivered between 11 & 11:15 (the ticket says 11), the meeting started at 11:30 and I needed this time to set up. I called around 11:17 and asked if the driver was near and the person on the phone said that they had just left 10-15 minutes ago and arrive soon. (They were supposed to be here by that time.) Needless to say the driver got here after 11:30 and our meeting had already started without the food. I was very disappointed as we spent nearly $1,000 within a week and with the way the customer service fell short I might think twice before I cater with G.G. again and my company caters several times a month or more. Read moreThe Virginia Beach Bonney Rd location does not deserve stars at all due to the abhorrent customer service, on an ongoing basis, specifically delivered by the manager "V". We have ordered EVERY week from this location for years, and every time there's an issue, "V" never starts off with an apology; instead, she goes back and forth with excuses. This location has served my husband spoiled chicken (discolored and smelly), and "V" tried to justify the problem, but then offered a depthless and insincere apology. Today, our salads had black, wilted, and withered lettuce in it. Instead of apologizing, she went on and on about the type of lettuce that was in the bag. My husband was very patient with her as she disregarded what he said and proceeded to over talk him, so I took the phone.Then of course, she became defensive. I concluded the call by informing her we have opted to no longer order from that location and her response was "ok, thank you". I called to let them know, and at the end of the day I still ended up with a salad with barely any cucumbers and tomatoes, AND bad pieces of lettuce. Their customer service on top of that stinks. There is never an apology for it. Just excuses. A customer should never have to be victimized and made to feel like you're in the wrong when you are the one spending your money. I liked it when I first tried it, but they have gone way downhill. Whoever is in charge, please retrain on proper customer service. When a customer has an issue, you should never argue with them.
