Zero's Subs Oceanfront — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

Ill start with the food which was great. Thank you to the workers behind the counter who COOK the food. You guys were both professional and polite and did a great job. The atmosphere is great in there as well. They could however do away with the rude counter girl with the bun. Ive been to zeros less than 5 times ever and so my friend and I had a hard time deciding. We moved out of the way to allow others to order and overall we were doing our best to make a choice on what we wanted. She had no need to roll her eyes. YEAH we noticed. Then i counted out my cash in my hand and counted $27 dollars. The order was 26.02. She asked if we had 2 cents and my friend went to grab it. I was confused why I didnt get my dollar and said that i gave her 27. She had immediate attitude and was snarky as she insisted that it was 26, Claiming VERY rudely with a whole lot of attitude that she counted it twice. I wasnt being rude to her. I sure wanted to after that though. Personally I have worked in the food industry and she made it worth not going back to see her. I may order ahead next time to avoid her all together. I would suggest maybe finding someone with less of an attitude problem. There...

I work out the oceanfront in Virginia Beach Virginia, I went to the zeros for the first time becuz I ride past it every day on my way to work and from work. I went in and got a half grub steak and cheese. The cashier guy was very friendly, but I noticed that the cook had a frown not happy to be there. the whole time he was making my sandwich. My sandwich tastes just like he looked. I been in customer service over 25 years, and I always say if you don't like where you work find another job. His face look like he did not like his job and did not want to be there. So that's what my sandwich look like and taste like... it was horrible. I asked for a ketchup, mayo and fried onions on my sandwich. There was so much mayo on the sandwich I could not enjoy it, I took one bite and throw it in the trash. Also I don't know what kind of cheese they use but it was sticky texture and stingy. Imy definitely not returning back there, first impressions mean...

I never felt so disappointed walking into an establishment for the first time and felt out of place by the staff then the other customers. Went to pick up a delivery and the staff was very unfriendly. The 1st person I tried to talk to kept telling me repeatedly he can help down there without even trying to find out why I was there. So I start smiling because I was in shock of my treatment. And when I went to cashier and stated to him I hope the the other staff members knows I can hear him talking about me. He went on say what you want. I was flabbergasted. I said I here for a delivery and he for who and to prevent the situation from getting out of hand I shown him the phone. He followed up by saying Impatiently the order hasn’t come thru yet and I need to wait very loudly causing the customers to look at the situation as if we had a problem.
