I have unfortunately given this location multiple “chances” in the last several months, as it is close to my work, as well as on the way to majority of the places we go. Meaning, it’s convenient. This is totally on me for going to this location again today. But otherwise we will drive out of the way to go to the Hudson Oaks location, or we skip McDonalds altogether & choose something else. I just sat in the curbside spot for 10 minutes before sending my husband in to get our order. Not because we were waiting to long, but because I knew they had messed it up somehow. It was sitting in the counter, was never going to be brought out. And yes, the mobile order was indeed a curbside and not another manner of order. But this isn’t the only issue. And the order was wrong. This isn’t the first time this has happened. Nor am I the only that has had issues. Local FB pages have the details on that. Order is more often incorrect, rather than correct. I’ve had to stand in the lobby for ALMOST AN HOUR waiting on a refund because they “didn’t have my order” although I had the phone receipt, confirmation, and it was as pulled from my account. The kid at the counter came to me FIVE TIMES asking what my order was and what I was there for. He’d go in the back, and I’m not even sure what as happening, but then he’d come back several minutes later and ask the same question. At that time, there was 3 other people also waiting for either a manager, and/or a refund. Eventually, like I said after near an hour, someone whom we were told was the manager came out finally (as she was visibly hiding that whole time..we could see her) and had to have a translator (another employee) help her. She attempted to remake my order (not listening to me not wanting that), and that order was even wrong. Those of us waiting on a manager/refund literally thought we were being punked. So kids got cold food today, because I was dumb and thought “surely they can’t mess this up again”, and I was wrong. I did call the location and spoke to Ruby, and she was great. However, with the way that the wind is changing in business and customer service and food quality, you never know what you're going to get. Which is sad. All that to say...
Does McDonald's location ranks in the top of all McDonald's franchises that I have visited in the past couple of years. I used the mobile app, which is always easy. And when I got to the store a few minutes later my food is ready.
A word about the staff... I have been to this location a couple of times now and the staff has always been wonderful. Whether they were younger or older or somewhere in between, they all all of the customers with a smile and we're very polite and helpful. I can't say enough about good customer service these days. It has really gone by the wayside, and even with mcdonald's, which has been disheartening, since it is an American institution and I believe a representation of everything that this great country is about.
The food was hot and the presentation was good. One aspect of a McDonald's that lets me know where they rank is their fries. First of all, at a lot of the stores, they don't give you the correct amount of fries. And, nowadays, there are a lot of unneeded crispy ends and soggy fries. Let me assure you that this store gets it right. At least up to this point, the fries have been the best I have had in years.
Overall, this was a great experience each time I visited and I am impressed with all aspects. And, if you really need another reason to go to this one, they have the vaunted kids play area. There's nothing more american!

Read moreUpdates review: If the story below is not bad enough, it gets worse. Joe, the evening weekend manager typically on duty, has harrassed our family on several occasions. He singles us out when we come through the drive thru and is very rude! When an employee messed up and gave us the wrong change back and forgot to give us all our money, he treated us like we made the mistake and acted like we were the problem. He never apologized for his employee's mistake and even turned his back on us and ignored us when we were discussing our concerns with him. This manager literally makes us feel so uncomfortable and we feel he should be re-trained by McDonald's corporate/HR on professional customer service.
Wow! Just walked out of the Weatherford, TX McDonald's at 4:40PM on 1/7/2020, because two employees were too busy talking to help me and my child. There was no one in the lobby line, but us, and the two employees had there backs to us at the register. They were discussing their work schedules and the guy seemed upset. We stood there for about 10 minutes and finally the guy turned around with an upset look and reluctantly apologized. How unprofessional!!! We walked out and said we were leaving since they were too busy talking to help us! No wonder everyone loves Chick-fil-a, because they have amazing service!!!
