We had lunch at the front of this coffee shop. Initially, I planned to find some street food, but I stumbled upon this place instead. This was our very first cup of coffee in this country, and it did not disappoint.
I ordered the Vietnamese drip, which had an incredible kick, and my daughter tried the yogurt coffee. It sounded odd at first, but when I tasted it, it was absolutely heavenly. I also learned about another coffee variant that turned out to be their signature: egg coffee.
The waiter, whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, was exceptionally friendly and cheerful despite limited English. He explained every dish with enthusiasm and made the experience even more enjoyable.

Read moreThis little gem is tucked away in a side street opposite the Cosiana Hotel on Le Duan. It's a quaint little restaurant with fans indoors and an alfresco area. I had Bun Cha, a Hanoi speciality, with an avocado smoothie, a Vietnamese speciality. They were both Fantastic. My hubby had chicken pho with Bia Ha Noi and thoroughly enjoyed them. These were served with Vietnamese tea by very attentive waiters. And the bill - less than $US10!!...
