Formal atmosphere. Did not receive floor and exhibition pamphlets with our three person adult ticket purchase. Got to third floor exhibit when found out had to go to zero floor to check out backpack. No problem -agree because I would not want to break anything. Should have been told when purchased tickets to save time as we were getting to museum late. Cabinet making exhibit section closed . Glass exhibit interesting . Favorite was progression of 1900- 1995 dresses, shoes , stockings. Also, modern 1960-70 furniture style . Next favorite would be handmade furniture that were 1970’s-present day. Last floor nice and a few surprises in the display cases . Lots to see and you ends up starting out looking at each item in detail, ending in zooming through entire shelves.

Stairs , wall and ceiling art, doors, ironwork, etc are absolutely gorgeous.

Very small expensive gift shop w limited choices . Must show your paid ticket at each exhibit door so keep it handy . Small cafe w coffee tea and food. Limited seating . !!!!! Must enter museum from side outdoor door! Main door on main road is for...

Definitively the worst museum I've ever been to. It's a beautiful building (and that's why I didn't rate it one star), but they have no permanent exhibition, the temporary ones are poorly curated and not exactly high level art, there was nearly nothing of decorative arts or design, and the guards don't speak A WORD of english - they don't even try. To go from one room to another you have to try opening closed doors (some of them are closed) creating completely unecessary noises, in order to enter each exhibition you have to go to the guard that will scribble a letter on your ticket (you obviously don't know what it stands for or what it's for) and after three minor exhibitions it was over. And on top, even as a student, I payed 180 krones. I absolutely love museums, so it hurts me a lot to have to say that the best thing in this museum is...

Zaujmou svými tvary i použitým materiálem - sklo a kov. Jim patří můj dík a obdiv, s jakým nasazením tuto výstavu připravili. S pozdravem,...

Gorgeous building, specially the interior decorations, but expected a bit more museum displays. Most doors were not clearly labeled or open, so we had to actually try every door until one opened and we found an exhibit inside. First time I've had this but it was both fun and weird at the same time :) Very few people were visiting at the time. Not sure if it is like that all the time or just when we visited. The glass exhibit was very interesting. The lace exhibition was nice as well. The 4th.floor was entirely closed/renovating. The ticket (10 euros) also gets you free entry to the Czech Cubism Museum, in the Old Center, which is nice. 2 other places are included in the ticket, but they are outside of the city, or far away.
