A very busy little cafe bistro tucked off one of the main tourist areas.
Their menu revolves around both sweet and savoury waffles with a wide assortment of toppings - they have a wide “all day breakfast” selection and then some that are only available after 11am.
The coffee is really good coffee too - good enough to have as a straightforward espresso or Americano without needing all the dressing up as a latte or crème brûlée coffee (although they do offer this).
We went three times - twice on a weekday and once on a Sunday morning.
The weekday visits were great. The cafe was busy but not too busy, service was prompt, everything was bought together and the wait staff were just awesome. Seating was immediate.
The Sunday brunch visit was different. The cafe was very very busy with a 30 minute wait for a table for three and a 20 minute wait for a table for two. The “waiting area” has waiting diners lined up outside the door which means the waitstaff attending the outside customers have to struggle but there’s nowhere else for the waiting people to go. Seated customers are given the space to linger after eating which is great if that’s you but annoying if you’re waiting, and on our visit a group of four American tourists had bought all their luggage with them which was blocking space even more. The staff were still lovely but so rushed and harassed that the service didn’t seem quite as friendly and the food and drinks were delivered separately (making it coffee and………..waffles). We missed our weekday wait staff!
On all occasions the food and coffee was lovely, and the price / portion size was just right. I’d definitely recommend a visit - but probably not on a Sunday morning /...
Read moreIf there’s one place in Prague that completely stole my heart (and my taste buds), it’s Coffee & Waffles. Without exaggeration, this was hands down the best waffle I’ve ever eaten in my life—a bold statement, but one that this little gem more than deserves.
From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, cozy, and welcoming, and the staff? Absolutely amazing—kind, attentive, and passionate about what they serve. The service was lovely from start to finish, making the entire experience even more special.
Now let’s talk waffles—the star of the show. Whether you’re in the mood for something savory or sweet, Coffee & Waffles delivers perfection on every plate.
Waffle with Eggs – A brilliant twist on brunch classics. You can choose your favorite style of eggs (scrambled, poached, or even Benedict-style), served over golden, crispy-on-the-outside and soft-on-the-inside waffles. Every bite is a harmony of flavors and textures.
Sweet Waffles – The Nutella version was heavenly, while the classic with maple syrup was simply divine. Light, fluffy, rich, and satisfying without ever feeling too heavy.
Honestly, this place is not just a must-visit when you’re in Prague—it’s a reason to come back to Prague. I would seriously consider flying back just to eat here again. It’s that special.
Coffee & Waffles is an absolute masterpiece in the world of breakfast and brunch. Don’t miss it—you’ll thank...
Read moreI recently visited Coffee & Waffles in Prague and it was a truly delightful experience. The food presentation is beautiful, the flavours are well balanced, and everything tasted fresh. I ordered a breakfast plate with waffles, eggs, and a lovely side salad, plus a bowl of what seemed like mini-pancakes or little waffles topped with yoghurt, fruits, nuts and a generous drizzle of sauce. The eggs were cooked just right, light and fluffy, and the salad added a nice crisp, fresh contrast—with pickled vegetables that gave a lovely tang. The sweet dish was indulgent but not overwhelming, with just the right touch of sweetness to pair with the yoghurt and fruit.
The coffee was excellent too—rich, aromatic, and well-made. I never tried this type of coffee. It is more like masala chai in India but here it is Chai Latte which was awesome. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the café felt cosy and relaxed. It’s the kind of place that works just as well for a relaxed solo breakfast as for meeting up with friends.
If you’re in Prague and love breakfast or brunch places combining sweet and savoury options (especially waffles done well), Coffee & Waffles is definitely worth a visit. Highly...
