When we first stepped into our apartment which was on the 4th floor, we noticed that the kitchen furniture and doors in our unit looked a but more retro than depicted in the photos. But after a while we got used to that retro look, and appreciated the big bedroom, the wardrobe room with ironing board, washing cum toilet/bathroom, and the kitchen. I think the main good things we liked was the big amount of space and the location. The kitchen had oven, microwaves, fridge, plates & cutlery all available. There was also ample lighting and electric points. The TV;s position could be adjusted and unlike some other hotels and apartments, the HDMI port could be used, so we could attach our own Google Chromecast, and make use of the apartment's free WIFI. The washing machine also had liquid detergent sachets provided, and there was an electric drying rack. There was also a safe provided which was big enough to put my laptop inside. Our initial dismay was that our unit was on the 4th floor, and each floor's flight of stairs seemed to have more steps than usual, and we counted about 108 steps from the ground floor to our floor, which was a big deal when carrying up 2 x 25kg luggages without any elevator. We also emailed and whatsapp'd the host a few times, but responses seemed infrequent and a little slow. When we called, that was picked-immediately... But this was something we had tried to avoid. But after those initial hurdles, all was well and we have a very good stay. We had to call our host when we reached Mordecai Twelve itself, and when our host arrived, we walked back with him to the reception / office to make our payment which was a 7-minute walk away. He was helpful and tried to help us look for some shops when we asked. As other reviews said, it's just a short 3 minutes walk to Old Town Square. And 3 minutes walk to the subway station which is just 2 stops away from the Central Railway Station... this is a big deal as we travelled by train to other cities and to take the Airport Express to the Airport. All in all, a great stay and no...

I've been in many hotels & suchlike all around the world and our stay at the Mordecai Twelve/Prague Residences last week turned out unfortunately to be the worst by far!||||We stayed there alongside our five-months-old daughter for one night. Upon entering the apartment around 7 pm we found out that the central heating and half of the room lights (including those of the bedrooms & the bathroom) did'nt work, after informing the receptionist (Anita) I was shocked with her irresponsible & indeed outrageous response, that the technician is off-duty and that we had to wait till next morning for the problems to be solved (which would mean spending our night in a cold dark apartment with a baby!). My attempts to reason with the receptionist Anita were in vain & the line got disconnected. I called her back and was confronted with the most unproffesional and even rude tone I have ever experienced in my life before she hung up on me for a second time!!! I was speechless so I went to the other building where the reception is located only to have another unpleasant conversation with her in person, so I asked for the manager and again she dealt with my wish with the least professional way denying me this requist and claiming to be the manager herself!!||||After a long distasteful conversation with her a technician came by a while later and managed to solve the problems before we went to sleep. The technician Mike was on the contrary very helpful, considerate & understanding. ||||Other contras apart from this bothersome experience: reception lacking at site of the apartment/...
