This place gets 1 stars for food and service. We came for dinner to take advantage of its location to watch the pyramid light show - which location wise it is perfect so the 2 star is for that aspect. When we showed up, there was only one other table with 2 people. There are 2 decks on the roof that you could choose to sit at. Their menu is large (with English available) but they told us they only have chicken and pizza available. So my fiancé and I ordered a pizza and a chicken dish and bottle of water. It took 1 hour before they brought us the water and told us the food would be out soon. It took 2 hours before we received our food. Food was nothing special that we needed to wait 2 hours for. We were freezing on the roof as we were there for nearly 3 hours and it was extremely windy and there were no heat lamps. There are nearby rooftop restaurants that look much better than this so go elsewhere. I wanted to give this place a chance despite it not having many reviews but after visiting this cafe, I would not recommend it. (If you’re a interested in coming for the view, the Cleopatra is literary right next to this place with also a roof deck and looks much more lively than this place and hopefully they have better service...

Read moreThe view is good but there are a lot of options with similar views nearby. The service and drinks are terrible.
No transparency in price. While the menu price looks reasonable, they had to charge us minimum spending of 220 per person which includes 2 drinks. Ok we didn’t want to move and accepted it. This price is not showing anywhere else but simply got told by the waiter.
The drinks taste artificial and had to change my order 3 times because none of the things I ordered was available. Also a simple drink needs to be waiting for 30 minutes (probably the waiter was going to buy some fruits?)
Then while we were enjoying the view, one waiter came to ask for another 200 surcharge because I was carrying a camera and I am not a hotel guest. This dodge charge is unacceptable and of course I refused to pay. If there is a sign or I got told not to use camera before I sit down, I would walk away.
The whole experience at this bar ruined my last day in Egypt and it was truly a shame. So if you want to grab a drink, just...
