This was our first time at this hotel & at the end we were really disappointed! Yasir, the main guy who works the front desk, really needs some customer service training. I still could not figure out whether his overall attitude was sarcastic, funny, or serious. He would not give straight answer & really test your patience. He acted like he was the boss/manager by ordering & yelling at his staff but when asked about his position at the hotel he told me he is just a concierge!
Yasir was pretty good at selling tour options yet he never told us that our tour will involve stopping at 4 different gift shops! Of course you know when already paid and out. We had a huge problem with one of the gift shops. It was a fragrance/perfume shop (Sultan's Flowers Extract Palace) where Abdullah sold us $400 worth of items by lying. Smell was supposed to last days but it was already gone in few hours! When complained about this to the hotel they sounded so angry & made us feel that it was all our fault!
I asked for Aamir who is supposedly an owner of the hotel to discuss the fragrance/perfume shop problems & even though at the hotel never bothered to come out & apologize on what happened.
I inquire with Yasir about the massage & he told us about one facility that he highly recommend. When asked about the price was told we will know about it but nothing was told even though asked multiple times. At the end he told us everything will be shown at the facility! We went to the center & it was not good. None of the staff spoke proper English & communication was a huge issue. Pricing was also not cheap.
We asked about the late checkout with Yasir & again was told that he will let us know but, again, nothing was communicated! On top, we asked our room to be cleaned on our last day but it was not done.
Regarding the room, even though it was supposedly a deluxe twin bed room with a view, it was very small. AC/Heater didn't work properly. The most ridiculous setup was their bathroom & the way it was designed. If you sit on a toilet your legs will be inside of the shower area! Shower door also did not fully closed & the water will come out as soon as you turn it on. Of course it will be a flood outside when you are done.
Room had a telephone but without a cord! It was just a dummy phone I guess. One day when I asked how can I reach the reception I was told to just press 0!
The driver that came to pick us up from the airport went to a different terminal. When we came outside the terminal there was nobody! After going back & forth with Aamir, driver finally came after an hour of us standing outside. The driver was extremely angry on us & would barely speak English. He was mad for making him wait for 2 hours at a different terminal! How was this our fault when we simply sent our arrival information the hotel? When complained about driver's behavior to Yasir he just laughed it off. He never apologized or anything like that.
Their rooftop had hardly any light setup. Only 1 tube light I believe & it was definitely not enough. Also, during winter season it is extremely hard to sit up there because they don't have any heater or anything to warm up the guest.
This hotel is also not for you if you want a quiet, peaceful, and/or relax night sleep. Daily at dawn time you will be awoke to the loud noises of barking/fighting dogs, horses/horse carriages, camels, etc., who will be racing from the front of the hotel to get inside the pyramids. Since this hotel is right at the tourist area there are constant loud noises throughout the day. Windows are not sound proof so that doesn’t help at all either.
Overall, we were not happy with our experience. There are many other hotels along the same line of this hotel & some of them even had a portable heater on top. This hotel is really not that unique or special & is not the only one. I will definitely try the other hotels next time & will not come or recommend this...
Read moreWe stayed at Panorama View Pyramids on our second night in Egypt. We took an Uber from the airport, arriving around 3 PM. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find our room beautifully decorated for our honeymoon, with rose petals on the bed — a truly special touch.|The highlight was definitely the view. Our room was at the front, offering stunning sights of the Pyramids and the Sphinx. After settling in, we met the manager, Mohammed, who welcomed us with a drink (note: the hotel doesn’t serve alcohol) and brought various snacks along with a delicious honeymoon cake.|Mohammed asked about our plans, and since we hadn’t booked any excursions, we decided to arrange them through the hotel. While it might have been cheaper to book independently, it saved us a lot of hassle and was very convenient.||Day/Night 1|We originally planned to dine next door at the Great Pyramid Inn’s rooftop restaurant, Rooftop 7000, with its incredible pyramid views. However, Mohammed convinced us to take a Nile dinner cruise with ‘Nile Crystal Cruise’. Unfortunately, we do not recommend this experience.|The boat had thick, dirty glass windows that made it hard to see outside. We were seated across from each other at a long table with about 40 other guests—no window seats. We had expected a more intimate atmosphere with great views, food, and service, but instead, we waited over two hours for food while watching a lengthy performance.|When the buffet was finally served, the food was cold and inedible. Like many others, we rushed off the boat at docking and ended up eating KFC afterward. Back at the hotel, we spoke with Mohammed to express our disappointment. Though he offered a free hotel dinner as compensation, it also took a long time to arrive and was served cold. This left us ending our only night near the pyramids on a very disappointing note.||Day 2|The next day was much better, thanks to our tour guide, also named Mohammed (pictured). He truly transformed our stay. Not just a guide, he’s an archaeologist and incredibly knowledgeable.|We started early with a trip to Saqqara — a great recommendation from the hotel — where we explored pyramids and tombs. Then we returned to Giza, entered the smallest pyramid, and saw the Sphinx, all while Mohammed shared fascinating history.|We enjoyed a camel ride — an amazing experience — followed by lunch at a hotel overlooking the pyramids complex, where we tried local Egyptian cuisine, which we really liked.|Later, we met our quad bike driver back at the hotel. Each of us had a quad bike, but our guide rode on the front of mine. While the private tour was nice and our driver was brilliant (and a great photographer), I wish I had been able to drive my own bike like my partner did. Alternatively, sharing one bike would have been fine. Despite this, it was an amazing experience overall.|Since our flight to Hurghada was at 7:30 PM, after the quad biking we returned dusty and expected to wait until we reached Hurghada to shower, as we had checked out that morning. However, the hotel surprised us by giving us a room to shower and rest in until our departure around 4 PM. Though the room wasn’t pyramid-facing, it was larger and more spacious — a very kind and unexpected gesture.||Our one-night stay cost €90, with excursions totaling €325.||Final Thoughts and Rating|Panorama View Pyramids offers an unbeatable location and an unforgettable view, paired with warm hospitality, especially from staff like Mohammed the manager and Mohammed the guide. The excursions arranged through the hotel were convenient, though the Nile dinner cruise was a major letdown.|Despite that disappointing dinner experience, the overall stay was positive, especially thanks to the knowledgeable guide and the hotel’s thoughtful...
