⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently had the most incredible experience at The Gate Hotel Pyramids, and I cannot recommend this place enough! From the moment I arrived, I was in awe of the hotel's majestic presence, situated perfectly to offer an unparalleled view of the three pyramids and the enigmatic Sphinx. This stunning vista alone is worth every star in this glowing review.
Upon checking in, the staff warmly greeted me, making me feel instantly at home. Their genuine hospitality and willingness to assist with any request were beyond compare. Throughout my stay, I was consistently impressed by the attentiveness and professionalism displayed by every member of the hotel's team.
The highlight of my stay, undoubtedly, was the astonishing view from the hotel's rooftop. Daytime brought an unobstructed panorama of the iconic pyramids, each standing tall with a storied history that left me speechless. The sight of the Sphinx, with its enigmatic smile, added an extra layer of mystique to the experience.
As the sun set, the rooftop came alive with a magical transformation. The sound and light show illuminating the pyramids was nothing short of spectacular. The dazzling display of colors combined with captivating narration breathed life into the ancient monuments, transporting me back in time to witness history unfolding before my eyes. It was an emotional and unforgettable moment.
The rooms at The Gate Hotel Pyramids were tastefully decorated, spacious, and immaculately clean. The level of comfort provided made it difficult for me to leave and explore the wonders of Egypt. Every modern amenity was available to ensure a luxurious stay, and I was particularly impressed by the attention given to detail in maintaining the hotel's pristine condition.

Read moreWe stayed in the luxury suite at The Gate hotel in May with our 2 children. We arrived at night and were greeted at the entrance and nothing was too much trouble and how we felt seemed important to them.||Our suite was amazing and the beds were very comfortable, even the children’s sofa bed. The rooms had perfect WiFi connection and were very quiet at night despite lots of noise going on outside in busy downtown Giza. We slept well and were very happy with the room and hotel facilities. The view of the sphinx and pyramids from our huge balcony was such a treat-we felt incredibly lucky to stay in such a beautiful suite||We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel- despite some of the reviews we had read, it was lovely and we didn’t wait too long for food at all. My children can be picky eaters but they were happy too. There was a good variety of food and drink options (the blueberry milkshakes were amazing!) We were very pleased with the food, everything was clean and hygienic.||The two terraces and bar were excellent and we loved spending time there when not sightseeing. And of course, the views were outstanding (we could view the evening sound & light show for free)||Overall, it was a beautiful, peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the busy town. Outside the hotel, there were lots of restaurants, shops and people and many would try and talk to you, ask for money/food or try and sell you things but it was fine but we never felt unsafe, it was just very different to the Uk. There were so many cats, horses and camels outside, which was amazing for my 7 year old daughter!||The ticket office and Sphinx entrance were right next door to the hotel. We just booked our tickets online and walked straight in (literally the entrance is 2-3 minutes walk away)||We didn’t do any tours through the hotel, we just orders Ubers and went about on our own but had we wanted tours, we would have happily used the Gate hotels as they did look exciting.||We would definitely...
Read moreI was very anxious checking in, as we had a horrible first night experience in another hotel.
This was our last night in Cairo after a week of exploring Egypt and the hopes were up.
We stayed in a luxury room with the terrace. For the price we paid we were expecting great room, and we got it - the room was spacious and the pyramids view from the terrace was great.
However, the reservation was made via booking.com with late check out at 3pm included. That was not accommodated. We were asked to move to a different standard double room that felt like a cave - small with no daylight. After some debates with the receptionist we were "allowed" to stay in the new room until 3pm (even though it was paid for already), as they wanted us to check out at 1pm.
The view, yes, is magnificent, but it is muddled with the view of the dirty collapsed building right under the hotel, where the horse stables are. There are also camel stables to the left of the hotel. There was some, almost to no smell, but i can imagine how it reeks in the warmest time of the year. The malnourished cats, dogs and horses are also roaming in that area. So THIS view is not for the faint hearted, but i guess, this is a standard of the country to expect.
The breakfast was decent and with decent length (until 11am), so we thought we could sleep in. But the crew in the cafe/lightshow installation next to the hotel thought otherwise and we were "lucky" to be a part of 30 min rave party with loud dance music that was accompanied with the base that i have never experienced even in my teenage years, all of this at prime time of 3am. I only feel bad for the couple with a baby that stayed in this hotel...
All in all, it depends on your priority - comfort or the closeness to the pyramids. Our 1 night stay was more...
