We stayed at the White House Pyramids View for our 11 days and 10 nights visit in Egypt. Here are my reviews:
• Cleanliness: 4.5/5. For the bathroom, there was an excellent supply of water, the toilet and the drain worked well. The room is cleaned everyday by the staff on schedule. Toilet papers were refilled as necessary each day.
We loved staying by the balcony near our room. The tables and chairs there needed regular wiping and cleaning.
• Location: 5/5. Their promise of having a view of the pyramids is on point, because we just have to go to the balcony outside or have the free breakfast each morning at the rooftop and there’s the beautiful view of the pyramids. It’s accessible to food deliveries and travel pick ups. There’s a mini grocery, restaurants (though I have not personally tried), foreign exchange (did not try as well), souvenir shops nearby. There’s also a ticket booth for entrance to the pyramids right at front.
I have to add, though THIS IS NOT the hotel’s fault, but I believe visitors should be informed because it could be off-putting: camels and horses are part of their tourism, and pass by the hotel’s front any time of the day… the stench of animal dung can stay in the air. But once inside, it’s all good and gone.
• Value for money: 5/5 . This hotel offered solid value for our stay. While not luxurious, the amenities met our needs.
• Room quality: 5/5. our room was comfortable, Equipped with TV, mini refrigerator, electric kettle, and the AC worked perfectly. There was a small glitch that happened with my bed but the staff fixed it immediately.
• Staff and service: 10/5. 😊 The staff at White Pyramids View were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They were efficient in handling our requests, and those who couldn't speak English made a real effort to communicate and ensure we were well taken care of.
They organized our trip to Luxor. In here I’d like to mention my special thanks to Sara, for staying in constant contact with my mom via WhatsApp during the delays, both on the way there and back, ensuring we were met by our guide and safely returned to the hotel.
• Check-in experience: 5/5. We were picked up from the airport as was previously requested, and when we got there we just had to show our passports, fill out a short form and then we were brought to our room.
• WiFi: 3/5. On our side of the hotel, the wifi wasn’t always working when we were in our room. It would work while we were on the balcony since the router is mounted near there, but otherwise, we relied on our prepaid tourist sim.
• Food and dining: The hotel offers free breakfast served at the rooftop.. but during the times that we had breakfast at the rooftop we opted for coffee and bread.
• Overall impression: Overall, a good balance of quality and affordability for...
Read moreThis was to be a very special trip, as I was taking a friend with me on her last trip to Egypt so I decided to book suites in each of the three hotels we were staying in. I therefore booked my first suite at this hotel - except it wasn’t. ||We arrived at midnight after a long and delayed journey. They wanted immediate cash payment but I declined ,as we wanted to go straight to bed. |For some reason a youth was sent to ‘check’ our room. I asked why but there was no explanation. |When we got to the ‘suite’ it was only one room, not two as described. The bathroom was awful. It was quite scruffy and the single mixer tap was wobbly. I took photos.||I hardly slept due to the constant pack of dogs barking immediately below our window. I even recorded it on more than one occasion during the night because it was so bad. ||In the morning we went up to the roof for what they described as 'breakfast'. The rickety staircase was treacherous and our table was balanced precariously on a small platform. |The view was spectacular - except for the location of the local tip right next to the building. It also served as the location for the horses and carriages. I won't describe the smell!||Back to the food. There was nothing we could eat. It was mostly vegetables and fries. No fruit, yoghurt, bread or cooked eggs, apart from a bowl of cold, boiled ones. There was a sort of puff pastry but no butter, jam or honey, so we ate it dry. There wasn’t any fruit juice either. ||There was no way we could stay there, so we complained to ‘management’. The young woman who said she was the manager lost her temper and said it was all the fault of Booking.com. She said she had told them it wasn’t a suite. I pointed out that the hotel was advertised the same way on a number of other sites. She calmed down then and said we could leave with no payment. ||I then had to go out and find another hotel. Fortunately I did, just along the road. We left this hotel, having been there only ten hours. ||Two days later I received an email from Booking asking me to write a review. It had only been live a few hours when I then received a message from them. The hotel had told Booking that we had left without paying and wanted $350!!!||I explained what happened and told them of my complaint and that I was concerned about the ‘wonderful’ reviews that had persuaded me to make the booking. I’ve not heard anything since||This had made me VERY wary of using the site again. I had done my research, yet still had a serious issue. Once...
Read moreTo start with, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised but the hotel and also the amazing customer service provided by the staff at this hotel. If your looking for the best hotel in the area, trust me, it’s this one. Not only is it the closest to the pyramids with all the others being behind it so you get a unrestricted full view of the pyramids, but it’s also the best out the lot. ||I arrived in White House pyramid view hotel on the 05/02/2025 early in the morning at 07:00 and check-in wasn’t until 12:00. As you know most hotel would turn you away or make you wait until the check-in time, at best some would keep your bags and ask you to come back. Not at this place, they offered me a vacant room for me to get some rest until my room was ready at 12:00. As you all know, when travelling for long, especially with an infant (3 month old) the last thing you need is a 5 hour wait for check-in. They literally treat you like family. ||The staff all around are very helpful and do things without even you asking at times. I decided to book 3 tours through the hotel across 2 days so on the 06/02 and on the 07/02 and I will be completely honest, I loved their honesty, transparency and how reasonable their pricing is. They organise every detail of your tour from start to finish including things like lunch and the very fine small details for example I have a infant with me so they realised we would have more luggage and stroller so always organised a bigger car without me even asking. ||Our flight wasn’t until the evening of the 08/02 and check out was at 12:00. The hotel kindly offered for us to keep the room longer just so that we can get some rest and use the facilities and then even offered to drop us to the airport sending one of their staff with us to ensure we have no issues at all going to the airport. ||Overall to the highlight of the trip wasn’t the hotel or the location, I have to say it’s the service. I’ve stayed at some really nice hotels in my time but never experienced service like this. Some of those 5 star hotels can really learn from this place. Massive thank you to Sara who made our stay such a comfortable And memorable one. If I ever travel to Cairo again, This is the...
