So glad we stayed here! You can see the pyramids clearly from the room balcony which made the experience all the more worth it. Breakfast is on the rooftop so you can see the pyramids and Sphinx while you eat. The staff there are extremely hospitable especially Kamal and Adell (not sure on the spelling) who treat you like family. They want to help you in any way they can. Please make sure you tip and take care of them.
We booked a tour directly through Pyramids View Inn. This tour is slightly more expensive then what you can find online, but it is absolutely worth every penny - as you are on your own schedule with the guide and have no one else on tour with you. Our tour guide through the hotel was Abdullah. We chose tour option #1 which was the pyramids of Giza, Saqqara, and Memphis (with a delicious lunch included). It is an extra $400 EGP if you want to go inside the Great Pyramid, but we highly recommend you do it. Abdullah was an AMAZING Egyptologist. He takes his time and thoroughly explains the history of each location and he actually enjoys to talk about history. If there's any places you want to stop, such as to buy souvenirs, jewelry, papyrus painting, etc., he will make sure to take you. We will never forget him!
Make sure to go to the Pyramids Restaurant in the complex. It is a short 1-2 minute walk from the hotel. The mixed grill and anything else you order from there is delicious. This restaurant is really the only good place there for food. You can either go there yourself which is way cheaper or have the hotel staff order the food and bring it to you (they will obviously charge a fee for this). It is safe to walk there, just beware you will be hassled with people trying to get your business on the streets. You can also have someone from the hotel walk with you and they will wait there while you eat and walk back with you.
Unfortunately, as mentioned above, the only downside to the area is how much hassiling you get from the people on the streets, so you almost feel confined to the hotel. It can almost ruin your time there, but you just have to get past it. The best thing to do is to just keep walking and ignore if you're not interested in buying anything and you just want to walk a bit (especially to the restaurant). You just have to tell yourself that everyone is just trying to survive in the world.
Next door to Pyramids View Inn, is a really cute gift shop where you can find souvenirs. I got myself a sterling silver ring where they imprinted my name in hieroglyphics. Literally, one of a kind ring. You can also get a Cartouche charm with your name imprinted. Highly recommend you go there!
Overall, we had a great experience and thankful we were able to come visit one of the most historic places on the planet. We originally had this hotel booked for 10 days, but after doing the tour and seeing the Egyptian museum, we felt like we basically did everything Giza had to offer within the first 3 days. So we booked a flight to Luxor where we will spend the last 5 days of our trip.
Thank you to the wonderful people of...

I especially appreciate Kamal's Front desk/Concierge service and assistance throughout my stay, as he really went above and beyond the call of duty of thoughtful sentiments.
Upon my arrival I felt very welcomed. The lobby is very quaint and cozy. I was greeted at check-in was adequately presented with most of the information and hotel itinerary I would need to know, without me having to ask questions. I was shown to my room right away and once entered, I was asked if the room was satisfactory to my approval. My room was very clean, cozy, and comfortable and I was offered to reach out to Front desk /Concierge if I needed any service/assistance.
I was very fortunate to have reserved a room with a balcony, which included a view of the glorious Pyramids and the Sphinx. I had easy access to watch the nightly Pyramids and Sphinx light and sound show as well, from the privacy of my balcony as I dined/relaxed. I really appreciate the safety, security, comfort and privacy the balcony provided, as these qualities are valued when guests are seeking a room with a view and a balcony. The Inn is literally a 2 min walk from The Giza Pyramids & Sphinx entry gate.
The room included a mini fridge stocked with plenty of water(and easily available upon request for guests throughout the inn) a tea/electric kettle/teacups. There was efficient, up-to-date air conditioning systems, modern satellite TV, and ample armoire/dresser storage.
Any communications I had for staff were tended to right away, and they have awesome a La Carte services. The Wi-Fi was a little sketchy signal at times, but for the most part Wi-Fi was efficient. The restrooms were up-to-date and well supplied with both toiletry items and clean towels. The toilet/bidet system is one that a westerner would just live for. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was superb. It is because of the breakfast served that included fresh falafel, I'm in love with the dish again!
The staff made my birthday just that much more special with the level of thoughtfulness. I didn't have any big plans, or to-do's for my special day, and was just glad to be celebrating it in good health, and in the majestic presence of the Sphinx and Pyramids, underneath the Pink Superfullmoon. But as surprise gifts/compliments from hotel staff I received Authentic delectable Egyptian sweets/dessert varieties, and a real papyrus hieroglyphic inscribed artwork. They arranged for me to have front table seating for my evening dinner on the rooftop terrace, and enjoy the Pyramids and Sphinx light and sound show. And on my last night there, I slept like a baby, as there was no traffic/noise in the street below.
I felt very well taken care of from the moment I arrived, til I got in my Uber ride home. The sheer hospitality the staff showed, I rate them +25 star. I would...
Read moreThe Pyramids View Inn B&B is perfectly situated in front of the Giza plateau complex archaeological site. A great view from the top terrace. The accomodation is satisfactory, but there are areas for improvement. However, great value for money to stay there. The breakfast is quite reasonable. Free fluids, bottled water and internet access are inclusive bonuses. The staff are rather friendly, although certain manners require adjustments towards guests. The host and Owner preformed above what was expected. The excursion tours are generally good, considering on where you are travelling; although quite expensive, considering on other holidays I've had within other countries that I'd visited. Overall, generally satisfied, but there are areas for improvements which could potentially create a successful B&B. The downfalls were the following: the mattresses on the beds need replacing for more comfort.
The bath towels need replacing daily and the rooms require a daily cleanse to maintain the guests satisfaction.
During my excursion tours that I usually experience is interactive, pleasant and a generally a calm atmosphere, to compared to previous holiday experiences. Although, the tours I had were good to what I'd saw & been to. However, there were some disappointments towards the tours from pyramids view inn B&B. Generally the tour guide I had, sometimes made the atmosphere quite awkward and a bit uncomfortable: occasionally rude mannered, ignores & refuses to answer certain questions, a bit too serious in general and wasn't always attentive. The tours were rather expensive; probably because I were by myself. When I asked the tour guide about Alexandria was founded by Alexander the great, (Alexander of Macedon), the tour guide the tour guide mentioned in a rude temperament manner that it was founded by Alexander the magna whom doesn't exist when it Alexander the great (III of Macedon). I don't believe that he was a qualified, legitimate and trained professional tour guide, the tours were very expensive and you still had to pay more money for other entrances at other sites. I would consider twice before coming to this establishment, if you are from the UK & from other European countries. Some sites and entrances weren't included in the price, so you had to pay-out more money, when you've spent expensively already. These issues made the cost and the itinerary of the excursion tours questionable. I don't think he was an official, legitimate nor a genuine tour guide, either. Another issue was the airport pickup driver, quite rude for asking for tips and came with a quite overbearing personality. Offered a small tip, then rudely asked for a lot more money.
These downfalls were the major issues. However, if improved. The B&B could succeed. From my experience, I wouldn't return. A river Nile cruise is the best way to explore and...
