A department store that HAS THIEVES inside the building while they do NOTHING about it. Extremely terrible experience I had and it ruined my trip. My family and I were shopping in the department store on Saturday (March 29), after we finished our shopping trip in the department store we wanted to get a tax refund, but unfortunately, we forgot to bring our passport despite having the visit Japan immigration code with us. So we decided to come back later with our passport and left the building where we were pretty sure that the bag had not touched by anyone since then as we moved together and kept our eyes on the belongings on the road as Ginza was super crowded on Saturday. We received SEVERAL LARGE SUSPICIOUS TRANSACTIONS WARNINGS from our bank messages within one hour, ranging from nearly 1 million JPY to 30,000 JPY, transactions occurred at Apple Marunouchi and KITTE Marunouchi, we were still visiting Ginza Six at that time. When we came back to report such an accident, they marked it down and provided the police station information wrongly as they only told us there was a police box at the crossing near the Mitsukoshi department store, and there was only a paper pasted on the door saying we needed to go Ginza 1-chome Police Box, then we walked all the way to that place and found out no one inside except for the paper stating how to report lost procedure written in Japanese, nothing else. We came back to ask about the wallet today (March 31) and wanted to finish the tax refund we were unable to finish on Saturday, and then they told us we needed the exact same physical card we had, the card that got stolen on Saturday in their department store. No digital card that is stored on Apple Pay nor bank app proof can be accepted. They also mentioned that I needed to finish the whole tax refund thing on Saturday, while the problem is even if I still had time to come back to the department store with my passport, we still wouldnโt be able to get the refund, as we already lost our card in the store with their extremely poor security. Itโs also ridiculous as I was asking if they saw the wallet in their store and I mentioned that it was stolen, the English staff even asked me if I saw the thief or if I knew which store/floor I got stolen. Please, go to work with your brain, think with your brain. If I had been lucky enough to know who made this tragedy occurred or where exactly it happened, I would have caught the thief myself and sent the filthy thief to your security and...
ย ย ย Read moreAs a first time traveller to Tokyo Japan,Matsuya was a great find. The Basement and level two basement are a foodies delight . I could have spent several more hours just exploring the mind-boggling options available. Cooked food, desserts, chocolates, a variety of tea and coffee, packaged food, it was super amazing. I needed to pick up some Japanese stuff like shiro miso and kombu and an elderly lady went out of her way to get it for me despite the language barrier. Matsuya Ginza is a must visit. I wish someone had recommended it to me earlier so that I could have...
ย ย ย Read moreMy go to place when in Tokyo and while roaming Ginza. First, go to Ginza on a Saturday- they close the Main Street for pedestrians. Second, while the shopping is good, itโs the B1 level I like. Itโs their โfood courtโ so to speak. You can get lunch or a snack to go and find a park. Food is displayed in cases so you can pick what you like by sight. They have the best egg salad sandwich- which the Japanese are masters at making. Oh, and the cookie/confectionery selection - great gifts and pieces of art! I love roaming this department store and the streets...
