Want a place that not only offers an amazing meal but also 5 star service, and live music all in a beautiful and intimate setting? This is THAT PLACE!! Our first time here we were greeted warmly at the front door, shown to an intimate table for 2 and introduced to our waiter and his partner. The staff here is warm, friendly and the service they provide is next level. Our waitstaff recommended appetizers, a wine that would compliment our meals and seriously anticipated our every need, before we had to ask or even knew we needed something. Our glasses were never empty, the portion sizes are perfect and the food was almost beyond description. Jimmy, the owner, can be seen throughout the restaurant and makes your experience, so memorable that you cannot wait to come back. He is fun and engaging and takes the time to visit with each table and guest. He shares stories about himself and his family and he loves what he does! He is passionate about the quality of the food he serves. Many of the items on his menu are flown in from different regions. The flour he uses in the "Fresh Baked Jimmy's Famous Garlic Loaf" is flown in from Sicily. The butter comes from France. This bread is so light and airy and has just the right amount of cheese and garlic infused butter, it is BEYOND good. Jimmy's motto is sit back, relax and have a good time. And we truly did just that. There was no rush to get us out of the restaurant to seat the next group. After our meal and dessert, which again is NEXT LEVEL!!!, we ordered a second bottle of wine and stayed to enjoy the live music. Terry Townsend was playing that night. He too was engaging, down to earth and just all around terrific. He brought us his set list and asked us if there was anything we would like to hear. We knew many of the songs he played and felt honored that he asked for our input. When we left that night, we were truly satiated! We enjoyed the best meal in one of the most welcoming and inviting places. We felt like we had made some new friends and we couldn't wait to go back. We were in Cabo for 9 days and during that time we ate here twice. The second time we came in, Jimmy greeted us like old friends, made personal recommendations off the menu and even cooked 2 different sauces for the pasta served with my dish. One of the specials that second night was Salmon, flown in from Scotland, which is what I had. The Salmon was excellent and just an all around different experience, it did not disappoint. My husband had the Cioppino the second night and as you can see from the photo of him with the bowl, not one drop was left. Our dessert that night was the Key Lime Pie. Jimmy's desserts are seasonally inspired so depending on the time of year you visit, the offerings will be unique. He believes that you have to get everything right, including the dessert and he is spot on! This is a place we will frequent, again and again, it is truly, unforgettable. We can't wait to go back and bring our family and friends. Make sure to make a reservation because they do get booked up and its...
Read moreWOW! WOW! WOW! Where do I even begin?!?! This place is just phenomenal, everything from the food to the staff, and even the ambience. My family and I walked in for dinner wanting a great steak. Upon arrival we were greeted by Jimmy, who owns the restaurant. Jimmy was full of smiles and kindness, explained the entire menu to us upon seating us and even highlighted some of his “favorites” and “go to dishes” We started dinner with a few cocktails which were top notch and made with top shelf fresh ingredients. Our food adventure started off with their famous garlic loaf. This was something else… absolutely delicious and just to die for!!! I would recommend anyone and everyone who is dining here to try it, your taste buds will thank me, guaranteed! After the appetizers the staff came to our table and went over the cuts of meat and the different temperatures of preparation to ensure that everyones steak comes out to their liking. We ordered 2 surf and turfs and 2 ribeyes as well as 3 sides which ended up being plenty for our table of 4. When the food came out you could smell the aroma as it was being carried to our table and surely the food tasted EVEN better than it smelled!!! Steaks cooked to absolute perfection, tender, juicy, and perfectly seared to lock in all those wonderful flavors. Lobsters were also perfectly cooked, very tender, and just melted in your mouth. We were all so beyond pleased with everything at JM’s that we couldn’t wait to go back!!!!
If you are vacationing in Cabo please please please do yourself a favor and visit this amazing establishment and give your tastes bud a truly wonderful...
Read moreI have dined at Michelin Star restaurants in Europe and the highest rated locations in New York and Vegas. JM Steakhouse has earned the title of my all-time favorite restaurant. Dining earns you the opportunity to personally meet the owner, Jimmy, former Executive Chef at Caesars Palace in Vegas, who makes sure you get what you want and leave happy. Diners are treated to a live jazz performance by in-house musicians (or if you've got musical talent, you may even be asked to join). Music is an enjoyable volume and not loud at all. The jazz background comes as a tribute to Jimmy's father, a jazz musician, and the restaurant is a tip to jazz lounges largely forgotten by today's world. Customer service is outstanding and can't be beaten. You'll be served the most amazing meal with fresh ingredients flown in from around the world. I cannot reccomend any one item, as it's all excellent. If you can't make a decision, that's ok too. Jimmy makes it known that they're a scratch kitchen and they're prepared to serve you a meal you won't forget, so they'll ask, "what are you in the mood for?" and design your meal accordingly, even if it means going off-menu or combining entrées. JM Steakhouse is absolutely the best restaurant in Cabo San Lucas, and while my time was limited in town, I made sure to visit twice before heading home. As a member of the "Boomerang Club" I'll be coming back again and again. Thanks Jimmy for an...
