Close to everything, secure, nearly the same elevation as the downtown so good for walking. The San Angel is well-operated and our ten day stay passed without incident. Suggest staying on the W. side as the E. has a refrigeration unit 24-hour fan from business across the street - white noise. Not horrible, but certainly not quiet. It might have helped mitigate traffic noise in the distance.
No oven, no flatwear/utensils for eating but spatulas, pans, glasses and plates for two were in cupboards. Restaurants in town seem to be consistently good. A convenience store and fabulously expensive organic market is on the next block. There is a room safe, but no guidance on changing the combination for added security.
We enjoyed our stay and were well-supported by Cali at the front desk and Esthela who issued us fresh towels and paper goods. The room was very agreeable - comfortable beds, good enough speed on Internet and we found everything quite clean. We recommend Mama's Royal Cafe, any marina restaurant's...
Read moreI liked a lot mamma royals, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the service is pretty quick and even thought it’s always busy we’ve never struggled to get a table for two without a reservation. I like the diversity of the menus options, with both traditional Mexican food and general breakfast being offered. I had the french toast which is advertised on the wall as the worlds best (probably), but I can’t say as I was a fan. It’s presentation was beautiful and you can’t scoff at the portion size, but it was just 6 slices of brown bread, with a cream cheese spread - where’s the brioche lads?
I visited twice during my months stay in Cabo and thought that was sufficient. I’d recommend their savoury options over their sweet.
Ps: love that all dishes come with a small...
Read moreExcellent for breakfast whilst we stayed in Cabo Vista hotel nearby. Good variety on menu. Food was fresh, well prepared and service was very excellent They have a lovely outdoor covered seating area. Covid restrictions in place, all staff wore masks, temperatures taken on entry and hand sanitizer encouraged. Tables are socially distanced. We ate here twice during our stay. Ate the huevos rancheros first visit, it was excellent. Fresh orange is freshly squeezed. But would highly recommend the orange and coconut drink, it’s delicious! Second time we got scrambled eggs, which comes with toast and fruit. Again very good. Prices are reasonable, they add extra for any changes made to menu. But it’s a minimal cost of 20 pesos. Would recommend here and would go again if...
