Jungle Burger — Restaurant in Amsterdam

UPDATE- food was cold. Please do not use this place for delivery. The restaurant takes no responsibility for its lack of contact information (such as a working phone or email). I’m really disappointed in both the delivery, the food (cold of course) and the utter lack of grace (sooty not our fault enjoy your meal is not ok. Also no contact info? Come on!). Get out of the delivery business and save your businesses reputation!

Original post. Never order delivery from this place. Never. It’s been over an hour and 10 minutes and there is no delivery. The phone number for the restaurant does not work and there is no way to cancel or contact. You will die waiting for your food to be delivered. To be clear the place is a 11 minute bike ride and 20 minute walk. The order was for two cheeseburgers. This place should quit the delivery business altogether. Sorry to say but this is plain obnoxious- no working phone number, no contact and now over an hour and 15 minutes wait for items said to be delivered within 40 minutes. Please do not order delivery from here.

If the food is ever delivered I will comment on...

The day we came, there was only one person who was doing everything : taking orders, cooking, helping etc.

So we had to wait a long time....

The cheese and bacon burger was quite good. The meat was tasty but a little bit overcooked for me.

I disliked the fries, too dry. You have to pay for some sauce, so I didn't taste with sauce, maybe they would have been better then ...

One last thing is that soft drink cans are only 20 cL, which is not enough at all, I had to buy 2 of them. But it seems like a common thing in Amsterdam (maybe Netherlands) restaurants so I don't count this problem to rate the restaurant.

The burger alone is not that expensive, but the fries + 20 cL soft drink is 6€ more.

So for 2 people, we had to pay 40€ for two menus and another coke...

Overall, I'd recommend to only take the burgers and...

The place was empty when we arrived, but we stopped anyway, (thankfully) because there is this bad discrimination for empty restaurants, they are said to be empty because no one wants to go, or because the food is not good etc.. But it’s not always like that, and so it’s always better to try! Maybe one of the best burgers (bacon) I’ve ever eaten 🤤😍✨ Very kind, helpful staff and welcoming and comfortable environment!
