Aesthetically Gorgeous movie theater, and I realize most ppl love it here, but I did not. Had a visit here Mon June 16th 2025. Sandwiched between 2 stores. Almost seems Tucked Away. Had to look a few times in order to find it. Theater is very different. All I saw were popcorn & pretzels being offered @ the Concession stand. Large Popcorn was Absolutely Horrible: Expensive, Stale, and Ridiculously Oversalted. Did not feel like getting up to complain about it so just tried to shake the bucket and wipe over the popcorn with napkins. Ate what we could without having a Sodium Stroke. SO much Salt Caked Up inside of bucket.
Took my brother here after eating out for his birthday. We must have gone the wrong day & time. There were 4 or 5 adults; 2 females the rest guys maybe all btwn 25-35, sitting on the seats in front of the concession stand who seemed drunk & high sitting on Eachother, laughing, falling & laying all over the chairs. There was a Strong, Lingering, Weed Smell. There was no 1 @ the Concession Stand until you walked up: Then a tall, brownskinned guy would appear and take your order like a Robot...he didn't seem to want to be there and not only was there No Smile, Warmth, nor any semblance of Friendliness, but as soon as he would wait on the 1 or 2 customers there he would disappear FAST.
Maybe it's better here certain days other than a Monday past 6pm? Sound & Picture were good nothing Special. They do have a bar. It's beautiful inside. Seats were nice and reclined. Expensive but suppose bec it is "Upscale?" This would be nice for a Date but just give me a Homey, Regular, Movie Theatre. Not Cheap for 2 Adult tickets to see Final destination Bloodlines (which was good) a Small soda, some BAD, STALE, Excessively Salted, rubbery popcorn, and Robotic, Apathetic Staff in Their Own World.
I do not mind paying whatever for decent service food. Seems like many others have experienced Really Gr8 Super Friendly, Very Welcoming, AWESOME! Service...I Dunno. We had salt sticking to our fingers just picking up the popcorn kernels. And we could only put butter on the top of the popcorn at self-serve butter station. Comfortable inside not too warm or Chilly on a rainy June day that was not hot. Bathrooms were very nice, very clean. Not many people inside; no crowd. Lots of Higher End shops & stores all around. Pretty Safe. Aesthetically, Harbor East Cinema and Harbor East the area are beautiful; but for me, The Experience & Vibe, not...
Read moreMy partner and I just went to this theatre , Harbor Ease cinemas, to see Superman.
My partner is in a wheel chair. The theatre does not have a traditional elevator, instead using a wheel chair lift who's doors seem to not seal properly (attendants were pushing against them with all their weight.) beyond that, we were told to flip a light switch to signal our need for assistance after our film finished.
We did so and waited 3-5 minutes. Nobody came. Had my partner or another wheelchair user been alone they would've been doomed to wait who knows how long. I went up the stairs to find help and found not a single movie theater employee to be seen.
Instead I had to ask the working bartender for help, who then found the manager. After stating I was unsatisfied with the theatre's accessibility, the manger proceed to grab my arm multiple times to stop me from leaving, so that they could explain that it was their idea for the light (which again did nothing) and to apologize for misgendering me, which might have been appreciated had they not kept putting their hands on me.
I was incredibly disappointed with this experience and hope that for future wheelchair uses the theatre prioritizes putting in actually accessible options that do not require long wait times or attendants to hold doors closed with the entire body weight, a sight that made me and my partner feel rather unsafe. Until such changes are made, either to the technology or the staff protocols, we will not be returning to this theatre.
If you are able bodied, you will find the theatre to be clean and well decorated, though lacking in refreshment options. Do with that...
Read moreModern, safe, overall excellent theater. The theater is in a very nice part of town with a lot of high end restaurants to eat at before or after the movie. The theater itself seems new and modern. The popcorn is very tasty and they put the butter on for you at your request so the butter is actually on ALL of the popcorn and not just at the top of it. The screens are big and there are lots of seats. The front rows are actually pretty nice the way they're setup you can actually have an enjoyable experience in the first few rows without being too close to the screen like at other theaters. If you live in Baltimore City this is definitely the best theater to go to without leaving town.
Update: I'm updating this review and dropping it down from a 5/5 to a 4/5 stars. I'm doing this because although I love everything about this movie theater they are very disrespectful to what the viewers want to watch. They have a policy where they won't show scary movies but it's a little absurd what they think is a scary movie. Then there are other titles such as the new Marween movie and especially the new Aqua Man movie they are not showing yet they are still showing three month old movies. It's very frustrating not being able to see all the newest movies here. My only other option is to drive outside the city to like Arrundle Mills...
