Greetings to all that may be reading this review,

My name is Dekei; pronounced(Dee-Kai) and I am a Woman who loves constantly innovating and expressing myself through my appearance. And one of the ways that I do that is through the art of nails. I am always evolving, never remaining the same and my nails are no exception. There was a point where I was on the look for someone professional, reliable, artistically creative, reasonably priced, and able to keep up with my ever evolving mind. This is where Mina shines. She has been doing my nails for several months now and I have never had a complaint with her quality of work, quality of hospitality, or price. When booking an appointment with her she doesn’t greet you with attitude or overly convoluted rules. She speaks to you as if she’s your friend you’ve been knowing for years. This extends to during our appointments too. We always have amazing conversations filled with substance and if I am not in the head space to talk she is fine with that too.

Prices- As I mentioned above her prices are very reasonable and accommodating. I know every nail tech charges as they see fit and I will never shame one for their prices. However, I am constantly changing my nail designs and ideas. With each nail lewk she’s brought to life from my abstract mind she has offered a reasonable price. We’ve done multiple colored flame designs, encapsulation nails, etc. And I was never taken back by the price.

Designs-She is very thorough and detailed with her work. Even if I’m satisfied with a design, if she isn’t satisfied with how it looks she will remove it and start over until it is a depiction of Excellence in her eyes. She is very meticulous and dedicated to her work.

Collaboration-I feel as though I am collaborating with her when we do my nails because she takes my vision right out of my brain and executes them onto my nails. If I suggest different colors and adornments; she will change them. She is very flexible and versatile.

Social Platform-She showcases her beautiful work on her business Instagram page as well. Not only that but she also collaborates on posts with her clientele showing off her amazing work and your new nails to flaunt to your family, friends, and faculty members.

Cleanliness-Anyone who is cutting on my cuticles and applying chemicals to my nails must be clean and Mina is very sanitary. She is very clean and all of her tools are sanitized. She often cleans throughout our session to keep her station tidy and less “accident prone”.

Time+Effort-Yes,it takes her quite a bit of time to perform perfection on my nails because perfection takes time. Through that time you can see her effort and dedication to her work.

Overall, she checks every box being a nail tech artist and the work environment she works in is very clean and organized. If you’re looking for a well rounded nail tech Mina...

I want to preface this by saying I've had a few dip manicures that were pretty good here and the pedicures have always been amazing, but after my last experience I am never coming back.

First, I asked for shorter almond and my manicurist cut them down once. I asked for a little shorter and she cut them down again, which was a good length, but I'm not sure if the filing took down even more length than that because the finished product was much shorter than even the second length she had done. One of the nails was especially short, and she did offer to redo it and put a tip on it but I didn't have time for that and had already been injured by her filing so I just wanted to leave at that point. As previously mentioned, she drilled into my skin so I bled and it was very painful. It is unacceptable to literally injure your client. Third, I was charged an extra $5 for a special shape, even though the past few times I went I had never been charged for that. Additionally, I didn't notice until I left but the top coat on the finger that had been filed into was cloudy and rough (see pictures). Another one of the tips of my nails on the other hand wasn't rounded and looked messy. When I went up to pay I said that I had my cuticle drilled into so that it hurt, and the girl at the counter just said "Oh I'm sorry" and I had to say that it wasn't acceptable for me to pay full price for a manicure when I had been made to bleed. Eventually they gave me $10 off as well as taking off the $5 for special shaping that I had been charged, but to me just $10 seems insignificant when you take into consideration that I was bleeding due to the carelessness of my manicurist. Going to the nail salon is supposed to be relaxing, but I left upset, hurt, and embarrassed about how my...

Okay this might be a long review. I went to this nail salon because it was to only one open on a Sunday after 6pm. Mostly everyone else was closed. I tried to call and make an appointment but you couldn’t make an appointment due to there being some sort of policy that doesn’t allow appointments on Sundays, only walk ins. I pulled up at around 6:20pm and they told me it would be a 45 minute wait. I ended up waiting for 30 minutes until I was seated in a chair. Then another 15 minutes until someone started on my toes, and then another 20 minutes until someone started on my nails. I patiently waited until I received my services because I understood that they were super busy due to them really being the only shop open after 6pm on a Sunday. Reasons why I gave them 3 stars is because even though the wait time was very long (they did do a great job getting people in and out), I was disappointed on how my nails came out. My toes seem ok, but the shaping for my nails are not the best. Not sure if it was because they were in a hurry or if it was the lack of skill from the person who did them. I honestly don’t like them. My feet are not as soft as they could be. I wouldn’t really come here unless you are desperately needing your nails done on a Sunday after 6pm lol. Or come when is not busy.

UPDATE: They called me to come back in to get my nails redone and I did. I absolutely love my nails now! They look so much better. Before leaving, the lady at the front desk was very sorry and gave me a $10 gift card. They were so apologetic and helpful and I’m grateful for...
