Nice owner, shoddy place. I went for a movie showing with a small group. Parking is typical for downtown (nonexistent) and the door inside was out-of-the-way but not too difficult to find. Inside, the floors were pretty dirty, with crushed popcorn and the like scattered around. The day I was there, the owner had alcoholic drinks for sale, but no soda/water/non-alcoholic drinks (to his credit, he allowed people to bring in outside drinks because of that.) The bathroom was clean, but it was out of paper towels and didn't have an air dryer.
When we actually seated ourselves in the theater, I immediately noticed that the industrial air conditioning tube running through the room sounded like a jet engine. (The atmosphere also seemed like outdoor noise was coming in since the place was full of open windows, although I didn't hear any car noise or talking once the movie started.) A few minutes into the movie, I pretty much got used to the background noise, and it didn't end up distracting from my enjoyment of the film. However, I certainly would not put this place on the level of an actual movie theater. The quality was more like if someone set up a projector in front of their garage at night.
Overall, I wouldn't be afraid to attend another event here, but I also wouldn't...
Read moreThis Venue is poor at best. The acoustics are awful where bands play. The dance/mingle area is very small, refreshments are quite limited, there is a serious need for ventilation & fresh air circulation, the only public restroom is down a flight of stairs through a theater down a few more steps to a 2 stall unisex bathroom. (for a 75 person venue) The atmosphere is non-existent. There's one way out from the top, a fire trap situation is probable. It surprises me this 1917 building is up to code for its use. The new owners have a lot...

There is so much potential, and I hope to see the place pop off! I really recommend going ATLEAST once, support a...
