This place has been a staple of Denver ever since I was a kid. It's masala. Dishes are some of the best I've ever had and probably is the main reason I'm addicted to this stuff. Well you can't order them online. The actual location has plenty of delicious Indian alcohols to try. And I've been told they occasionally do buffets for events and also catering. I know it says their hours may be inaccurate but to be honest I've never seen these people closed. I'm not sure if they actually have hours or if they just stay open for as long as they can and then close when it looks like they're not going to get any more orders. That's not me saying that they're slave drivers. It's me talking about their work ethic, I've never once had any issues with my orders from here. While occasionally staff can be grumpy or have difficulty understanding me, this has never resulted in a bad order or a bad experience. Depending on how you want to look at it, the place is either filled with personality from years of surviving within Denver, or in need of a bit of a remodel and touch up due to the years and years of constant use. Nevertheless, I find it has a great personality to it and it's one of the places I do recommend people looking for a "historical location" to eat at. Well it doesn't have the age of something like the buckhorn exchange, it is a staple of downtown nonetheless akin to illegal Pete's or mellow mushroom. The food can be a bit overpriced from time to time, but I suspect that has to do with market issues rather than a inflation of the price for no good reason. I'd highly recommend walking over from some other activity however, as parking is near impossible but it is connected to 16th Street Mall and directly next to the light rails so it's that difficult to access. Just hard to park. In recent years, most people seem to be ordering to this location rather than eating out of it, which makes it ideal for people with neurodivergent issues who might need a quieter place to go in and order their food. They're late hours means that even if you're approaching midnight, you can still go in sit down and wait patiently for tikka masala in the quiet air of...

Read moreWorst experience! I would have give 3 star but I will walk you through our experience and tell you why ended up giving 1 star. First of all 5 star reviews are really over hyped may be because of the location of this restaurant or not knowing how Indian food should taste like. We went to this place at Sunday evening, usually very slow at that time. Only two table were occupied. There were only two servers one who was cooking by him self and another seems like manager. They were nice people but when it comes to service and managing restaurant like this in core of Denver download, they just couldn't do it well. One of the paneer curry we ordered was really red, I mean it was only made with food color. I really don't want to upload the photo of that curry. In my lifetime I never seen VOLCANO RED curry like this. We asked them to change it and they did it. The good part was they listened to our complain and replace with some other item. Second part, I really don't get why they automatically changed the gratuity for only four people. This might be because of Denver's minimum wage level is 11$ and this restaurant was in downtown. I never seen anywhere where automatically charged gratuity for only four people not even in NYC. Anyway I didn't complain about it but based on their service it was not worth it. Third part, this is where I ended up giving them 1 star. In the bar area I saw rats running around when we were leaving. This totally blew my mind. Can't believe so called upscale Indian restaurant in the heart of Denver downtown can't keep their place clean. This what you are charging automatic gratuity for! Honestly, I really can't trust the food they serving to the customer. Definitely over hyped...
