Warning * Long Review*
TLDR - Best part of Gettysburg and an absolute must do
I am not a review guy by any stretch of the imagination. However, this business and the people working there deserve 10 stars and a write up.
From the first phone call Josh and his operation could not have been more accommodating and professional. You will honestly be hard pressed to find someone that cares this much. We came to Gettysburg with our 7 year old and 18 month old and observed these very interesting tours with a small 2 seater coupe in which you could tour the battlefield. They looked awesome and in fact they were. Josh returned my voicemail within minutes and much to my delight he had two coupes available for their 11am Battlefield Tour with a battlefield guide to accompany. Our 18 month old was too small for the coupe and without hesitation Josh asked if we had a car seat to which we installed in the electric vehicle that was meant to be a tail vehicle for the tour. Any other place would have said “too bad, he can’t do the tour”. As sad as it may seem, this level of customer service and human decency absolutely blows me away because it’s so rare. Josh even stood next to the vehicle after our son fell asleep and watched him so we could listen to Rich, who was an absolutely amazing tour guide. (We were still not far away and close enough to react to anything. I feel as though that needs to be addressed before any super parents begin to pass judgment - the point being that this gentleman went way beyond what is expected or fathomable to accommodate complete strangers). Oh, Josh also gave our daughter the sunglasses off of his own face so she had eye protection from the wind! The tour itself was so cool. Zipping through battlefields and the city of Gettysburg with checkpoints along the way highlighting major events of the 3 day battle was mind blowing. Our 7 year old was so engaged and happy to see and hear about the battle and all the intricate details that Rich had to share. Our little guy had zero meltdowns also, which is a major W. It was a pretty hot day and there was plenty of water to be had. Josh made sure everyone was well hydrated and taken care of. I can’t stress enough our appreciation and gratitude for Josh and the whole team. Absolute class acts and caring individuals. Thank you so much for making our experience one for the ages! We will come back just to...

Gettysburg has always been on my “Bucket List” of things to do. On July 13, 2024, my family and I had the chance to finally check it off. As a U.S. Army (SFC) retired “Infantryman”, I did my trip planning (online) prior to our departure for an eleven-day NE whirlwind vacation. I booked my GettyPeds reservation online and accidentally put in the wrong time for rental pick up. Upon realizing this, I emailed the company with the change time request and received a rapid “can do and done” response. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a smiling and friendly owner (Josh) and staff who confirmed our reservations and answered all our questions about a self-guided tour, they even provided a detailed map. We were given a safety and operating briefing for the coups and were then let go to our own devices (freedom). The self-tour worked for me because I could proceed at my own pace to take in the sites without being rushed. The coups were nice and can get up to speed rather quickly. They are not fancy nor difficult to operate and provide basic transportation. If you (or couple) are large, you will bump elbows. As I am a disabled (and slightly portly) Veteran, I had some difficulty getting in and out of the coups due to their (or my) design. The coups have rear roll bars, these I used to bungy cord my camera bag onto. Note to Josh: Adding a basket of some type to the back would be useful. As it would happen, we were there during the “Bike Week” and there were motorcycles everywhere. This provided a lot of noise and congestion; I suggest a person might want to check the Gettysburg activities calendar for such things. Our overall experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend the patronage of this business. Communications were great, customer service was fantastic, and the equipment worked well. My only regret is that a four-hour tour is just not long enough to take in the whole battlefield, so I will have to plan a longer stay on my next trip. GettyPeds is a Veteran friendly business and I thank Josh and Nikki for their service to...
Read moreTerrific experience renting two e-bikes for 2 days from Josh and his business, Gettypeds. We reserved in advance for a weekend after reaching out and learning that the are a limited number of bikes and otherwise he cannot guarantee availability. But there was no reservation cost and the bikes were there on Saturday morning when we showed up and paid. He was extremely accommodating and made sure we knew how to use the bikes before setting out, despite both riders being familiar with using e-bikes. The bikes give you full torque very quickly by cadence sensing (or throttle), meaning you don't have to peddle hard to get a big push when in mode 3 or higher and the motor takes a beat to back off once it is engaged. It's good to be familiar with that before heading out. We felt the cost was very reasonable. He is very interested in Gettysburg and we enjoyed talking with him and seeing his collection of relics and other items on display in his small office. He sets up tours and when we go back I would love to go on a tour with one of the guides he recommends since he will pick one for your level of interest, whether it's your first or 5th...
