May 2, 2021: Nothing to complain about here. Relaxed atmosphere. Clean facilities. Delicious food and not outrageous prices. I had the Margherita Pizza and must say it was delicious. The side of mac n cheese wasn't bad either. The gf had a Tuna Burger and asked for it rare. It was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Even the lemonade was really good, my guess would be fresh squeezed but not sure. I would recommend this place to anybody. Thanks for the great meal. June 2, 2024: Another visit to Food101 and another delicious meal. Again I had the Margherita Pizza and it's def 1 of my favorite pizzas, all time. Can't recommend it enough. Also ordered the Crab pita which was also tasty. A little rich for my taste but that just means I saved half for lunch the next day. My mother had a delicious Apple cheddar chicken sandwich. The fresh ingredients make their food a wonderful treat. Thanks again. Aug. 31, 2024 update: I read an article this morning that says Food101 is closing its doors! I have loved visiting your restaurant, especially on my birthday trips. The pizza was amazing and everything was fresh. Hopefully yinz can get the place back open but if not, thank you for the great meals over the last 5-6 years. I hope yinz didn't have to close cuz you couldn't find employees, that's sad if so. Thanks again and good luck.

Unreal! The wife and I usually ride our motorcycles to various restaurants in different areas to try food. We have been coming to Gettysburg for years and this time we wanted something different to try. After looking on Yelp and Trip Adviser we found our new GO TO place. The service is outstanding. We ordered a wild mushroom white pizza with caramelized onions and fontina cheese. My wife is from NY and she agreed, this is the best pizza she ever had, after I said the same thing. We also split a cubana, which the pork was melt in your mouth juicy on a ciabatta roll. We both agreed this is one of the most pleasant lunch experiences we have had in a long time and we eat out a lot. It is small inside, with 4 or 5 tables that can handle 4 people and one that can handle 6-8 with a few that can handle 2. We got right in but the tables were full just about the whole time we were there and this was in the middle of the week. We definitely will be going back!!!

Food 101 is our #1 go to spot! Everytime we eat at Food 101 I try something different, and I have loved each dish! For instance, I have had the Vegetable PowerHouse, Grilled Ham & Swiss, Margherita Pizza, Club 101, Asparagus Salad, Edamame Salad, Fried Brussel Sprouts, Cauliflower 101, House Cut Truffle Fries, and (ALL of the desserts!). Today, I had the Nicoise Salad and my husband had the Mushroom Swiss Burger with Truffle Fries...delicious! The ingredients used in the dishes at Food 101 are the absolute freshest and highest quality. The restaurant is small and quaint, but it has never been a problem getting a table. Even if we have had to wait a few minutes, there is seating outside. The service is fast, and the people are always super friendly. The location is nice since it is in the heart of Gettysburg, because after we are done eating we can walk around and get some shopping in😊

Oh...my....gosh!!!! The BEST food we have EVER had ANYWHERE hands down!!! Wow!!!

If you are wondering, like we were, if the food justified the prices...the answer is a resounding YES!!! The food is like heaven in your mouth...my husband and I talked about it for a time after we left. And the quantity, quality, and total experience is way worth the price of menu items. The food is as good as a high star restaurant where they serve it for $30+ a plate...so this place is cheap compared to that!

Things you MUST try...trust me, you HAVE TO try these...1) The side order of mac n cheese is literally THE BEST MAC N CHEESE ON PLANET EARTH!! No joke! It's not generic or microwaved, its gourmet and AMAZING!! (Served mostly year-round). 2) The no-flour chocolate cake with fresh raspberry sauce and whipped cream...this MELTS in your mouth! We savored every single bite, and were close to licking the plate! Delicious! (I don't know if this is seasonal, but we ate there in summer, August).

Everything we ordered we literally LOVED. How many restaurants hav you been to where this is the case? The chef creates seasonal dishes from local produce in addition to their main menu, and they make everything in-house fresh except bread which comes from local bakeries.

The first thing I noticed here right when I sat down was that this restaurant is trying to be sustainably minded and as close to low waste as possible. Lining the tables was glass cups (no straws--but they're available upon request), metal cutlery, cloth dinner napkins, and you are served on real plates. LOVE this!

The service was outstanding! The waitress kept my husband's cup of lemonade full without us having to ask which is saying a lot because he drinks so much liquid so quickly. She was pleasant, knowledgable (she knew every dish and everything in every dish), and she just made the whole experience pleasant.

The only challenge here is the parking. Gettysburg is busy through summer and fall easily. Do NOT pull in to the parking lot beside or behind this restaurant as there is NO parking in there (except 1 literal spot, and 1 handicap spot) for Food 101. Not worth the effort. There is metered parking on the streets if you're lucky...1 quarter = 15 minutes. But the local knowledge we found out is to park at the bank parking on SUNDAYS ONLY or park at Kenny's Market a block away for free.

We plan to come back here in...

This restaurant is blessed. The food is phenomenal. The wait staff is so considerate and generous. And the atmosphere is upscale casual with no pressure. I felt so welcomed and received here.

We ordered the fried brussel sprouts, mac & cheese, fries with truffle and parmesan, grilled steak sandwich, and ham & swiss. The server returned to the table to ask if we wanted our brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Yes, honey! That's what we call considerate. We didn't even think of it! Shortly after we received our food. They didn't even give me grief for throwing a fork on the ground with my clumsy and ungrateful hands. Then. Then we tried the food. Sweet angels, chorus. I now know that mac & cheese is what makes up the sweet clouds of heaven. Like those thin whispy kinda clouds. The fries were crispy angel feathers. And that truffle and parmesan. They can tell me all day sweet nothings. I don't mind. Now for the sandwiches. Blessed be. Apple butter and dijon? This is some new age wizarding. And those peppers with that cheese in that steak mix-up? Please. My soul is saved.

With all that being said... Thank you. Thank you for an amazing dinner on our honeymoon. You took comfort food and made it divine. A small dinner with HUGE personality. We are touched.

P.S. They have eagle eyes for your drinks. They WILL fill those glasses before that sweet...
