This is a wonderfully decadent place in that all of the collective sugar and caloric properties here, could put a small country into a sugar shock coma. I found it to be absolutely great. It offers, best of all, fabled and celebrated (as well as largely forgotten) soft drinks of yesteryear. Have you heard of Moxie? Well, you've got to try it. You also have to try some of the delicious novelty candies as well as the die hard go broke or go home novelty 'treats' that are made out of insects. Certainly not for everyone to try, but for the daring, it isn't so bad...at least once! The novelty sodas balance very disarming and unlikely taste fusions together, and those some might find even more profoundly 'unique' then the candy insect combinations. Chicken wing soda? Hot sauce flavored soda? Peanut butter and jelly soda? Yes, yes and yes. All of these novelty sodas are here and are worth looking at and sampling for shock value or for mere curiosity. To some degree, they're one of the same. My personal favorite part of the store hands down, is the culinary library of candy! You can find storied candies of yore and the forgotten relics of yesteryear. Candies my grandparents grew up on are all here to sample, as well as candies from pretty much every era and decade. In closing, it really is an outstanding store, run by a very kind owner who recognizes that the unique property of balancing the wacky novelty with the welcoming familiar makes the shop stand out. But there's more sweet treat then gourmet sugar spun grasshopper, so if you're passing through Gettysburg and have an afternoon to explore this exceptional town, do yourself a flavor (sorry) and get a treat for the road at the greatest candy...

They also just extended their shop
CONS: His location is awful. He is right on the intersection. There is no parking unless you get lucky to find something on the street.
OVERALL: Just like the historical sites in Gettysburg, this place is also a must-see. This unique candy store--which you can't even find in major cities, is the best type of candy store to walk into. He has candy created in every time period for the right price. It doesn't hurt to take a look, I guarantee you'll...
Read moreWe love Sweeet! We travel a little over an hour to come here and love it. My boyfriend is obsessed with the Bawls energy drinks and I am in love with the strawberry fluff. 😍 We can't find them anywhere else but even if we did we would still make the trip here for the experience and other awesome things you have in store. We buy a new rubber duck almost every time we come. 😂 The lady we see all the time at the register is always super nice and helpful with questions we have. We prefer to come on quieter days because sometimes the amount of people and screaming children is overwhelming especially since the store doesn't have a lot of walking room... which is totally fine to us because it's more room for candy and such! 😂 We can't wait to make another trip up to restock and fulfill our...
