I drove up to Gettysburg for a long weekend visit. Many other businesses - both shops and restaurants - were closed on week days or closed really early, so when I was looking for a sweet treat that wasn't ice cream, I stumbled upon this place. It was open after 6pm, and the posted hours said the were open until 9pm, so it was one of the few businesses near Lincoln Square that was still open on a Wednesday evening.
There were a few patrons inside, and the 2 employees behind the counter greeted me and were so knowledgeable and pleasant. Who knew that buying chocolate had so many options? They described all the different specialty chocolates and the local companies that make them. I ended up selecting several pieces and they were each absolutely delicious! The peanut butter milk chocolate ones were scrumptious.
There are tons of options (plus some sugar free items) in the glass cases, but there were also shelves of other packaged chocolates and candies, with many European brands. The store itself was really cute and well kept. It connected to a store next door, which looked to be all xmas stuff.
I will definitely have to stop in to try a coffee next time I come...
Read moreWe wanted coffee and stumbled upon this place. I LOVE truffles and coffee. I ordered the 16oz white chocolate carmel latte with whip cream. My boyfriend ordered a regular coffee. I also bought three bars of rainbow fudge, six truffles the jalapeno, banana foster, peanut butter, raspberry, pomegranate and coffee truffle flavors. The cream on my latte was really good. You could tell it was homemade cream. They put way to much on though. My 16 oz latte was more like a 12oz latte because of the over abundance of whip cream. They put all the Carmel in the bottom of my cup . Couldn't taste the Carmel at all until I almost finished my drink. Then it was way to sweet, because the whole bottom of the cup was filled with Carmel. The only truffles that I liked were the peanut butter and banana foster. All the others were mediocor. I like lindt truffles way better than the ones they had. I would recommend this place for a regular cup of Joe. Wasn't very impressed with the truffles though. This place is a bit pricey. I paid 4.50 a bar of fudge. Also paid $3 a piece for...

Stopped in last night for a quick caffeine pick-me-up with my wife. She had a Caramel Latte and I had one of the specials, the pumpkin spiced chai latte. It was difficult to choose with all the delicious sounding drinks.
One sip and it feels like I'm drinking Fall. The chai latte was delicious. My wife loved her caramel latte as well.
We also purchased a couple chocolate treats which were a little pricey but definitely delicious.
The atmosphere here is cute with a lot of chocolate centered items. There is an open doorway to step into the Christmas Haus store next door but note that they don't allow food or drink in the Christmas store. The chocolate store does have some merchandise to purchase as well including 21+ chocolate liquor candies.
Our barista was very polite and bubbly. She was happy to answer my random questions.
Overall we really enjoyed the coffee and treats so we'll definitely...
