July 9th 2025. This place is awesome, we waited in their cool outdoor waiting area until it was time to meet our bus driver. Suddenly a very tall man named George began calling out names. Due to the lack of excitement from the guest he kicked it up a notch and by the end of 5 minutes we were all screaming and yelling boarding the bus, the kids thought it was great! Mr. George is a master, not only of hyping the crowd for what surely would be a great time but also his ability to navigate the 40+ foot long green Blue Bird bus. Once the trip began and only after asking if we wanted it, George dove into a very nice and informative history lesson about the Snake river and how it helped define the west. Most times these type of things kinda suck and are boring, but again Mr. George made it interesting and fun. Before we knew it we arrived at the raft launch and were handed over to out river guides. Our family (Clavier group) had reserved an 8 person raft and we met our guide Sandy. Mr. Sandy took a group of novices and walked us through what we needed to know as we made our way down river before hitting our first rapid. We practiced maneuvers and got comfortable with the raft. Mr. Sandy was extremely professional & knowledgeable having worked on this as well as other rivers. He like Mr. George made sure the kids were having a great time and really blended well with our group. It was extremely fun & we hit all the best parts of the rapids on our way down, following his calm and easy to understand instructions. I didn't think I would have liked it as much as I did but if you are on the fence it is a really good time to be had by all. Between rapids there were a few places to swim if you wanted to jump out. What a nice river! After is was done we changed and re-boarded the bus with Mr. George and were taken to a scenic overlook. Again Mr. George surpassed expectations by photographing families and groups. The framing was perfect and the shots were all very professional looking. One other thing to add that I didn't notice until after our trip. In the store area they have a rack of Chums brand sunglass straps, I bought one because I didn't want to loose my nice glasses. They were $10, the same price as on Amazon or other online places. At the visitor center near Jackson lake in the Tetons they are $19. I just thought it was nice that they weren't trying to gouge the customer as they were already about to head off rafting. They just simply offered it at a reasonable price as a way to help their customers. Last thought, as we pulled up to the ramp when we were finished, there was another rafting company (yellow raft) that was also pulling in. Their guide was screaming stroke, stroke, stroke at their group like a drunk Viking who gets left behind on raids because all the other Vikings can't stand him. Which was met by a lack luster cheer when they hit the ramp. More like finally we are off this thing kind of cheer than an oh boy that was fun cheer. Yuk, I looked at Mr. Sandy and told him thanks for not...
Read moreMy wife and I were on vacation in Jackson hole Wyoming. To go see Yellowstone’s in the Local surroundings. As we rolled into town we noticed Dave Hansen’s river raft. I went inside to ask him several question about the tour as my wife is handicap. They came outside and talk to my wife and after a couple questions. My wife was very happy and pleased with there answers. Needless to say we booked a tour. We were supposed to take the tour on Tuesday, July 28, 2020. But due to it raining all day that day they canceled all the tours. They were willing to give us a full refund no questions asked due to the weather. But we decided to rebook and schedule for the next day. The 8 o’clock tour. Needless to say we had a blast. My wife had an easy time getting in and out of the boat. Our tour guide was awesome. He had been in the business for over 14 years doing tours in rapid tours. On the snake river. He had a vast knowledge of the local surroundings and pointing out the wildlife we have seen moose 10 to 15 bald eagles cattle and other things along with Beaver lodges. I highly recommend this tour for anybody coming in to Jackson hole and wanting to have an adventure And memories you’ll never forget. I tip my hat off to Dave Hansen and company. For the awesome job looking forward to doing it with family and friends in the future. From the bottom of my hearts...
Read moreOur group of 4 had a BLAST! We did the 4:45pm, 8 person white water rafting. It was a cloudy day and a bit drizzly, so we are very glad that my daughter and I rented the jacket and booties. My husband rented everything except the jacket, and he was freezing before it ended. He and son-in-law were in the front of the raft, so they got the brunt of the water and wind. Dave Hansen's staff is great, from the check in staff, those helping you get the right wet suit items, bus driver (ours was Rebecca - she's great) and our guide Eagen, was top notch! He was a lot of fun, was knowledgeable about the river and the Jackson area, and his simple and patient instruction made us first timers much less nervous. We saw some osprey and bald eagles. The rapids are class 2 and 3 and are very doable for amateurs. My adult daughter and I sat in the back (closest to the guide for extra help and got less splash and wind) 😄 I've always been reluctant to do things like this, but now at age 50, I've decided to quit being scared and have some fun! The crew at Dave Hansen's made this a thrilling and safe adventure for me and my family. (Rebecca, our bus driver, took great care of our dry clothes and stuff while we rafted, and had the heat going in the bus when we finished! Changing and restroom facilities at the start and the end of the trip....
