We recently had the opportunity to visit the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar in Jackson, Wyoming, and we must say, it was quite an experience. Nestled in the heart of downtown Jackson, this iconic western-themed bar lives up to its reputation as a must-visit destination in the area.

Upon entering the bar, we were immediately captivated by the authentic Old West atmosphere. The million dollar cowboy bar has a very unique and cool atmosphere. So much so that this is where our wedding party decided to have the after wedding wedding party. We arrived with approximately 45 people and It was crazy packed in there and hard to get in. That being said, we did get in and enjoyed the evening. They had a great band but a very small dance area which was surprising for the size of the bar. We had a few late arrivals to the party and they refused to let them in because it was getting late. The bars shut down there at 2:00 a.m. However, this bar did last call at 12:30 and kicked everybody out by 1:00. Which was a total bummer. They were very rude to our late arrivers who explained that they were with the wedding party that was inside. This took place at about midnight so it was before last call but they still refuse to let them in. The staff here is hardened and callous. Not friendly and welcoming at all. From the moment we entered to the moment we left, we had poor service and mediocre drinks . I'm sure part of it's due to the sheer number of people they have to deal with. However, they are forgetting that your patrons deserve to be treated well. We dumped a ton of money there in the short period of time that we were there. Yet there was zero appreciation for our business. If you have a small party of people, I would recommend going early and getting a good seat and perhaps the service will be better. But I definitely do not recommend taking a large party here for any kind of celebratory events. They don't appreciate their patrons and they take for granted their success. Like I said, it was packed so they're not hurting for business but the next time I go back to Jackson Hole, this business will not see one red cent from this visitor ever again! There are tons of bars with live music and great atmospheres throughout Jackson Hole, So my recommendation is to seek out other bars while there because this one was very overrated. It's really too bad because they have the potential to be the whole package but because of their poor customer service, lack of caring and watered down crappy drinks that you pay a premium price for by the way, I would definitely go...

We had a great night at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. Is it a tourist trap with lots of wannabe cowboys and overpriced drinks? Yes. But is it also a kitschy cowboy paradise, with great music, fun atmosphere, and barstools made from saddles? Also yes, so just enjoy it for what it is and go drink your huckleberry martini with a smile!

My daughter and I stopped in on our one night in Jackson on our way to the Tetons. She just turned 21 a couple months before and had only been to a couple bars, so this was quite an education lol. We loved it. If you watched the Yellowstone TV show, this is just the kind of bar that Beth Dutton hated with a purple passion. But you have to know when you go to a place like this these aren't real cowboys - It's just a bunch of pretty boys posing in their boots and hats and Who cares?! Everybody wants to be a cowboy - or cowgirl - once in a while. Let 'em play dress up!

The live music was great. They have a dance floor, plenty of seating, a varied drink menu and the drinks weren't weak either. The people watching was A-mazing and, it totally cracked us up because there were people at the table next to us we discovered lived close to our home in Georgia, and we knew some of the same folks. Here we are on the other side of the country and we practically met some neighbors. Just goes to show, it really is a small world.
