Maui Gelato and Waffles — Restaurant in Maui

Outside of having one of the most wonderful Mochas in the morning and having one Hella of pleasant conversation with the owner, I felt it was worth the trip back later in the day to order Gelato with the rest of the family. Then the experience with the staff in the afternoon ruined it all. The gelato was excellent as expected. But as you read many of my reviews, it is mostly about the experience. I wish I had waited for the staff member who appeared to be having fun with customers. Because the other afternoon staff member acted like she hated her job, hated the customer before me, and was pissed off that I was there ordering as well. 5 star mocha, 5 star owner, 5 star Gelato all trumped by the grumpy hating life staff member later in the day. This is the best gelato I have ever had! Ever! They make their own gelato in-house with their own recipes from scratch. I literally feel like I’m a kid again and I’m eating that kind of ice cream that is 100% real and so rich. Their waffles are to dieee. My bf and I had a punch card and we’ve been going there almost every single day and you get a free ice cream after you buy 12 lol. Every single flavor is amazing. Just flew in from Southern California and had to grab a local mahi-mahi taco then we decided to go and find some Maui ice cream. Maui Gelato and WaffleI is the best on the island! So many Original flavors, My personal favorite was Lemon-Cookie Cheesecake, and my husband had S’mores & Salted Caramel both in a waffle cup. The waffle cone was fresh and delicious and all handmade by the husband and wife team. They also have breakfast with homemade waffles that can be topped with your choice of fruit, nuts and of course, your choice of ice cream.
