Absolutely lovely bakery to visit. Very clean modern warm ambience. Parking lot available. My top favorite is the Hawaiian Bread - Macnut, coconut, raisins, pineapple, and carrots. Super moist and perfect amount of sweetness (not overly sweet) with plenty of the ingredients included (no skimping). I also ordered POG Bread - Passion fruit, Orange, & Guava - this is very nice soft bouncy moist bread. I recommend any of the the Hawaiian artisan breads. I brought these back to mainland to share with friends. They loved it. I also loved their Cold Brew with Coconut Milk and Orange, Carrot, & Pineapple (cannot remember for sure which fruits added) fresh juice. They have an amazing selection of jams and several pastries. I selected the Lilikoi Donut - nice fluffy and good amount of the Lilikoi jam inside. It was a delicious treat. One other item I ordered for my husband is the pineapple ham twist roll. He told me it was just okay because he tasted mainly bread and minimal ham and pineapple. Second thing, I wished there was a vegetarian savory twist roll/pastry. All the options had meat.

A little piece of European comfort and delight with Maui flare! We had their spelt bread loaf ($8.90 or so) and 2 pretzels ($3.50 or so), perfectly cooked with authentic crust and feel to the bread. I saw their syrups and jams to try next time, as well as the sweeter treats like Lilikoi buns and cinnamon rolls (both about $3.50 ea). Everything in Maui is a wee bit more than you'd like (expensive) but to find quality, care with the creation, and a very classing shop with up to date, modern feel is MUCH appreciated here in Kihei. We'd love to see an expresso machine to really top off our morning (they only have dark roast drip at present $3.60? free refills). A hint....try going upstairs of the Dolphin Plaza (where they' are located) and get a sea view unpopulated eating area for FREE. Definitely, Maui Bread is what I've been missing each morning after a dip in the 80 degree ocean after sunrises over the Haleakala volcano at 630am onto Kihei (southwest Maui). Whenever I can afford the $10 coffee plus treat, I'll be there.

The banana walnut bread is moist and has a great fresh banana taste. We also bought two of the juices...mango limeade and POG. Very refreshing. I was hoping for a croissant, but they were sold out. Go early if you want one. We were there by 1130 and they had already been gone for a while. The shop is cute, clean, and simple. I would like to see them use less plastic bag packaging to support the environment. I did walk away thinking about all the plastic used everyday to wrap the baked goods. I'm sure it is cost effective and does the job, but all those plastic bags...eeks. Great baked goods..very fresh and lots of options. The service was very friendly and inviting.

This little bread shop near the beach is worth checking out for a plethora of reasons, but the best tip I can give you is stop here before the trek to Haleakala (if you don't know about the sunrise, you have some research to do still!), as the options here travel well, are delicious and can be picked up the afternoon before the trip.

The staff here is friendly, and through banter I learned the chef is not only trained in a classical French style, but has infused some eastern styles into the baking. The 5 star performance of the food shows in the fact that this would have been obvious without a single word being exchanged.

If you've ever enjoyed European breads that are typically hard to match in quality in the US, you'll appreciate this bakery on an unparalleled level. If you've never had the chance to experience true European style bread, I would recommend this heartily, just keep in mind it is a fusion flavor.

The breads here are phenomenal, the business seems to be new and growing, and they offer free samples for those who are not yet convinced. I recommend trying a sample or two, ordering a few bakery items and trying one of the fresh drink concoctions, after which you'll have a hard time stomaching bread form...

First of all, we went to Maui Bread Company numerous times on our 11-night stay on Maui. We loved everything that we tried, especially the warm items baked fresh (be sure to get there early, they sell out!) I wanted to write this review to express my utmost gratitude to Iris, who was present when we returned from our morning wedding ceremony. She asked why we were all dressed up (I didn't buy a "real" wedding dress) and we told her we just got married on the beach. We then told her how much we loved the restaurant and that it was our favorite place to eat breakfast. Without hesitation, she let us know she was honored to have us visit on the day of our wedding, and told us to pick what we wished to eat free of charge. But, that's not the best part- upon eating our breakfast, we started up conversation with Iris again, and she told us all about how she and her husband run an organization of multiple casual restaurants on Maui, and that she works to teach high school graduates service industry and employability skills. We were so humbled and impressed. Thank you, Iris. Your hospitality and your bright spirit made our day that much more special. We will...

Every time we come to Maui we make multiple trips to this bakery. Everything they make is delicious and because of this it can sometimes be difficult to get the treats you want if you arrive later in the morning. Today was our second trip there this week to hopefully get some cinnamon buns but alas we were too late! The same young lady served us again and my 9 year old daughter and I asked her about the cinnamon buns just in case there happened to be more trays in the back. She informed us that someone earlier had purchased the last of them. While we went up to the cashier to purchase our other items she went in the back, took the cinnamon bun she put aside for her own lunch, and gave it to my daughter! Such a beautiful gesture. This made my daughter and I's day and although I thanked her and the cashier at the time (and helped fill their tip jar) I wanted everyone to know what wonderful people work at this business. I'm sure the last 2 years have been very difficult for small tourist based businesses like this but this place obviously came out on top due to amazing staff as well as the best...
