Ambassador Condominimum — Attraction in Panama City Beach

Not again. Reservation was canceled and refunded the day of check in. We were half way there and they didn’t even call us.

I called. He had a room for Sunday to Tuesday available. He did put us in his daughters condo for free Saturday the same day of cancellation. That was 329—one air conditioner in lr wouldn’t get cold. Was stressed enough with everything else to where I didn’t even call since it was one night. Room was not clean. dirt all over the stair rails.

The next day we were moved to his condo officeB/room 231b. $590 total. He had Said about 400. Though we didn’t stay all well we still had to pay 175 in fees. Again I just ate the cost because it was our only option anyway. Room was immaculate and smelled clean—-BUT NOT ON beach side like our reservation was.

Toilet had to be flushed two or three times anytime someone went number two.

The only air conditioner was in the bedroom with the door. So the door had to be left open, no privacy, so that the air can circulate through the unit.

If you do decide to go to these condos make sure you take extra towels, beach toys, things like that. There were two chairs and an umbrella and the second room 231B. Nothing to that in the first em 329.

I will say that God worked this out for our good. Because it was on there and we got our full refund and only had to pay 590. We had a death in the family and needed to be back home Wednesday so it worked out perfect as far as only staying until Tuesday.

Units are perfect for the party scene, teenagers, those who may not be worried about fancy or 100% cleanliness. Bar across the street does not close till 11 music most of the night and then continues on for the people driving up and down the strip with their music loud. Could not sleep the...

The good: Great location, right on the busy strip and not far from the pier. Plus private parking. The building is very "old Florida". Condos and rooms are owned privately and some are rented out. Ours was on the lowermost floor (c7). 2 queen beds. Clean sheets, good pillows. Clean towels. Room is right outside the pool and has a private-ish patio. Air conditioning was cold and great. Fridge and microwave were clean. Beach access right outside the condo. The bad: the room seems to have been updated ages ago. So it's once again out of date. The floor and baseboards were dirty and dusty. Tile appears to have never been cleaned.. The kitchen was mostly clean but not up to par. The dishwasher was out of order. The bathroom was not great...uneven shower floor tile, poor water pressure/heat and a busted mirror frame. The toilet takes special attention to flush. The roof appears to have leaked before and was never fully remedied. The furniture was dust covered and had some definite wear. The remote for the (Roku only) TV was very greasy from whoever used it last. The front door was installed improperly and the lock is finicky because of it. We also lacked night stands and outlets.

Overall: It's okay. It'll get you in the right place for the right price. But it's not glamorous and I couldn't imagine spending more than a couple days here. If you have high standards or expect a run of the mill holiday inn style experience, this is not for you. Booked through Host Jeff & Jill on Airbnb. My kids wanted me to pull off when I pulled up. It's an old run down motel revamped as a villas. We stayed in unit 210. It is extremely dirty and the sofa needs to be thrown out. It was so dirty we had to cover with blanket to sit on it. I asked for a late check in and an early checkout which the Host agreed to and is now complaining about it. We couldn't get the early check in due to the prior guest wouldn't check out. According to the host they would answer after asking for a late check out. We were supposed to check in at 12pm but didn't get to check in until 1:40pm. We went straight to the beach as we were already late. Later that night we we came in that's when we noticed how dirty the room was. The shower was full of dirt and hair. The walls needed to be wiped down. The ceiling has mold in every corner and all over the bathroom ceiling. When we opened the sofa bed it had mold and the mattress cover was extremely soiled. My kids and I were disgusted. I contacted the Host and he just said I don't think that's mold and downplayed the issue. No offer of help yet we didn't have a second bed for 4 people. We sit up most of the night feeling dirty. In the morning the ceiling drips like the upstairs unit is leaking. It freaked us out because that is what we thought was happening.
