The tasting guides are funny, friendly and fast moving. If you don't get a chance to try a flavor you want, just ask. They will usually accommodate you. Be sure to tip the tasting guides well, they spend a lot of time memorizing other people's jokes and occasionally make up their own. They deserve an "A" for effort - even working through a moonshine induced brain fog.
The moonshine and flavored whiskeys are not intended to be high grade, but accessible and delicious even if they are usually on the sweet side. I found a few I like and most recently bought a bottle of their ginger lime whiskey. I will go back next time I visit. Kids are allowed in, but the place is not kid friendly. Kids are not allowed near the tastings unless you can draw a really good mustache on your six year old and get him a top notch fake ID. On the way out, grab a Tshirt on the way so your Baptist friends can give you the side eye and your Catholic friends will welcome you to their...
Read moreIf I could leave less than 1 star I would! This was absolutely one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a retail establishment. Me and my wife walked in the store 20 minutes before they closed and walked up to the sample bar. We stood there and no one even acknowledged that we were there we kept trying to get one of the 3 attendants attention without any luck. After about 10 minutes of standing there we walked to the other side of the counter. The guy pouring samples on that side was pouring samples to a bunch of women who were already heavily intoxicated finally he looked our way and walked up to us and said we already called last call and couldn’t serve us anything. All we wanted was a sample to see if we liked what we were going to buy. We had 4 flavors in mind but were rudely pushed away and pretty much told to leave. We were there 5 minutes before he called last call and all we wanted to do was sample 4 flavors before we purchased them. But the attendant was too busy filling shots for women who were already heavily intoxicated to worry about any other customers. We left the store humiliated and went somewhere else in the park and when we walked back by at 11:10 he was still pouring shots for that same group plus some others that weren’t there when we were pushed out. I sincerely hope this type of behavior to customers isn’t your company’s policy as it was highly offensive and...
