Horrible accessibility for elders(90+ years old), little to no room on the deck where you can see and hear the historical audio, no assistance or guidance on where to sit, it’s dog eat dog when trying to find a seat that is actually enjoyable when over booked for the size of the ship (there are people sitting on the floor)! The seating lay out is absolutely horrible this is the top deck layout….. you are not allowed on the very top deck that would add some breathing room and the Top and bottom deck has no audio for the information they give about the lake except on the very bow of the boat making it pointless to sit when there is no room on the top deck. If you have mobility issues and aren’t first in line GOOD LUCK! You will be sitting on the bottom deck alone, with the worst view, no speakers to at least learn about what you got yourself into and a lot of time to think about what you can do after you GET OFF the boat!
Silver lining- The captain is very knowledgeable if you...
Read moreDid a one hour cruise on Lake George when we first got to town. They are conveniently located near the Village Tourism office. We pre-purchased online.
When we arrived to check in, there was a girl at the booth who didn't work there, according to her. She said her friend had gone somewhere and would be back soon. Her friend didn't come back before the ship returned from its prior voyage. We were checked in by someone off the ship who came ashore.
Boarding was smooth. We got a $9 white claw and enjoyed our little cruise. Despite it being kinda rainy and choppy on the water, we didn't really feel it. It was really smooth as a ride. The crew were nice though it was not a guided tour so just enjoy the views and the ride.
It was a good cruise. Nothing out of the ordinary but if you want to be out on the lake, it's definitely an option.
See you on the... water...
Read moreDuring a morning walk around Lake George, my husband and I saw the booth and signage for lake cruises. While trying to find out the information about it online (the booth was not open yet) a wonderful gentleman approached us and told us about the morning coffee cruise and informed us we could pay when we boarded and that the boat was leaving in 45 minutes. He then said he was the captain of the boat and would be doing the lake cruise. Well let me just say, that was the best way to start our first day here in Lake George. Not only was the captain a fabulous guide and story teller, he had a great sense of humor! The coffee was actually good and we got to keep the insulated coffee mugs. It was a beautiful, scenic ride, the day was gorgeous and we had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this cruise. We were on the Horicon boat. The rest of the crew...
