Our Fantastic Day at Neptune Park: Where the Oceanfront Comes Alive! We absolutely loved our visit to Neptune Park – it truly is the beating heart of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront! What really struck us was how much vibrant energy was packed into one incredible space. It's not just a park; it's a dynamic hub of activity that seems to have something for everyone. During our visit, the park was buzzing with the excitement of the Jackalope Fest (May 30-June 1, 2025). The skateboarding event was mesmerizing to watch, with incredible feats of athleticism happening right before our eyes. And the high-wire action? Talk about breathtaking! Adding to the fantastic atmosphere was the live DJ music, setting a perfect soundtrack to all the thrilling events. You could really feel the pulse of the beach as the music mingled with the ocean breeze. Beyond the events, Neptune Park itself is just a wonderful place to be. The majestic King Neptune Statue stands proudly, a fitting guardian of all the fun. And with a fantastic array of restaurants conveniently located around the park, grabbing a bite or a refreshing drink is incredibly easy, making for a seamless and enjoyable outing. A Little Bit of History... It's fascinating to know that Neptune Park, specifically the main area near the King Neptune statue at 31st Street, has evolved quite a bit. It's been a focal point for the Virginia Beach Oceanfront's events and public gatherings for decades. Originally, the stage had a temporary, fabric canopy, but the city has invested in a new, permanent stage canopy that can withstand hurricane-force winds, making it even more resilient and ready for the 75+ events it hosts annually. This ongoing development speaks to the park's importance as a community and tourist attraction, continually improving to offer more and more to its visitors. All in all, Neptune Park is more than just green space; it's an experience. Whether you're there for a specific event or just to soak in the lively atmosphere, it's a definite must-visit when you're in Virginia Beach. We left feeling invigorated and already planning our...

We had such a great time at Neptune's Park! If you're thinking about visiting Virginia Beach, definitely make time for this spot; it's way more than just a photo op with the giant King Neptune statue (though yes, it's as impressive in person as you'd expect).

The park is right on the boardwalk, which makes it super easy to get to, and it’s such a nice break from the beach if you want to relax without the sand. There’s live music in the evenings (check the schedule!), and we caught a band while we were there; fun atmosphere, lots of people dancing, families hanging out, and the ocean breeze just made it perfect.

It’s very clean, well-maintained, and safe, with plenty of benches and open space to sit and people-watch or enjoy a snack. There were a few food vendors nearby too. And if you have kids, it’s a great place to let them run around while you chill out.

One thing we appreciated: it feels welcoming to everyone; locals, tourists, families, couples. You can make a whole afternoon out of just strolling, grabbing a bite, enjoying the view, and taking in the vibe.

Pro tip: Visit around sunset; it’s beautiful, and the lighting on the Neptune statue is perfect for photos.

Highly recommend adding Neptune’s Park to your Virginia Beach list. It’s simple, but somehow still...

Neptune Park in Virginia Beach offers a delightful coastal experience. The park features well-maintained grounds, a sandy beach with picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean, and a lively atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy various recreational activities, from beach volleyball to picnics. The iconic Neptune statue adds a touch of charm to the area. The park's amenities include clean restroom facilities, ample parking, and convenient beach access points. Lifeguards ensure beachgoers' safety, and the overall cleanliness of the area is commendable. Whether you're into water sports, sunbathing, or simply taking a leisurely stroll, Neptune Park provides a welcoming environment. However, it's worth noting that the popularity of the park can lead to crowded conditions during peak times. Some visitors may prefer a more serene setting, especially if looking for a quiet retreat. Additionally, seasonal factors like weather and water conditions can influence the overall experience. In summary, Neptune Park in Virginia Beach offers a vibrant coastal destination with a range of activities for beach enthusiasts. While it may get busy, the positive aspects, including cleanliness and amenities, make it a notable spot for those seeking a lively...

Just visited Virginia Beach for the first time earlier this week, and in all honesty I wasn't sure what to expect about the area. However I was very impressed by what I saw when I was there, and especially in Neptune's Park. I love the warm brown color of the sand here at the beach, and it was very clean and well maintained! I hardly saw any shells, but that could be because we came on a high tide day. I wanted to put my feet in the water but it was way too cold. For reference it was 50° with strong winds on the day I was there. The boardwalk is very spacious and expansive, and even on an off-season day there were quite a few people jogging or taking a leisurely stroll. I was super excited to see the Neptune statue, which I had first heard about almost 2 years ago. Let me tell you, this is DEFINITELY worth visiting! You see so many pictures of it online (including mine), but the pictures don't do justice to the magnificence and sheer beauty of it. Do yourself a favor and check it out at least once in your life! Trust me, you won't regret it. 😁
