Hostel Estrella sin Fronteras — Hotel in Quindío

We loved our stay at Estrella Sin Fronteras so much that we came back 3 times. Without a reservation we walked in with open arms of hospitality. Our first 3 nights we pitched our tent in the garden. The next 2 times we stayed in a 4 bed mixed dorm.||All the staff are super friendly and eager to help, even if only half speak full English. ||Aside from the friendly and comfortable atmosphere we absolutely loved the complimentary homemade yogurt breakfast with fresh fruit and oats. It was delicious!!!||The wifi would cut out on occasion, but that was mostly due to weather storms. The common areas were large and a lovely garden to wander in. ||Careful if you leave your room door open, you may get a visit from the hostal cat. (Warning for those with allergies.) we found her sleeping on our bed...

My partner and i booked a private cabin here in july 2017. When we arrived we were told the room was taken because "people who make bookings via phone rarely ever show up". We were told there was another cabin, not to worry! We were shown to a cabin at the back that was filthy and had someone elses things in the room and bathroom. The pillow covers were brown 😐. We were told "nobody had stayed in this room for a week" which was clearly untrue when someone knocked on the door an hour later to collect their food and toiletries. ||We ended up staying the night because it was very late at night and left the next morning. Definately up there with some of the worst hostel...
