The closest parking lot is P1 but it was closed for the weekend when we were there, we parked the car at P2 and went to the tourist center to ask and the lady suggested us to drive to the town theater and unload the luggage there which is much closer than dragging the luggage all the way from P2. There are several small parking lot by the town theater but all reserved for the hotels around or the local residents, but if you drive a little further on Rooseveltova road passing Pension Anna, there is a small parking lot for maybe 6 cars that you can pay by hour, the kiosk only takes cash, it will be easier to park the car there for a couple of hours while taking the luggage to the hotel to check in and then move the car to P1 or P2 for overnight parking. You do need to drag the luggage through a slope (either side) to get to the hotel (B&B) but that’s pretty normal to stay in most of the pensions in town. |I booked my stay through Agoda and Agoda didn’t mention how to check in. I was a little freak out when I got there and no one was there opening the door and there was no door bell. The neighbor walked by and told me the hotel also owns the restaurant on the bottom of the building and we just need to go in to the restaurant and check in there. |Once the parking and check-in parts are down, everything became wonderful. The hotel (B&B) was so so so beautiful, they only have 6 rooms, and the 2 rooms we booked were so beautiful and comfortable. The room on the first floor facing the back can see the colorful tower, and the room on the second floor facing the front sees a small alley and the outside dining of the restaurant decorated with the lights. The rooms were in decent sizes and very clean, there were fruits and water waiting for us. The tiles in the bathroom were so beautiful. All the decoration in the rooms were so beautiful. The pillows were too soft for us but there were cushions from the sofa which helped. It was very quiet at night (actually all the time). |The owner and the staff were very friendly and always happy to help. |The breakfast was simple but with everything we needed, and you can asked the owner for something different. |The location is great, short walking to the bridge and to the main square. Nice to walk around in the early...
Read moreThis was the best place we stayed on our trip in Czechia. |First Cesky Krumlov is beautiful, hilly and charming. Communications with Adalbert was excellent. We were told to call prior to arriving near town. We did so and the line was busy. They called me back!! The penzion is in the middle of the historic district so we needed to be picked up from the Parking lot. Tatiana was there to greet us and get the parking ticket as well as walk us to the property. We were in awe of the town beauty crossing into a fairytale. |Up the hill we went and she opened the simple door to a lovey entry. We were in the main floor, room 2. When our room door opened we were even more amazed at the size of the room and how nicely appointed it was. Fruit basket waiting along with 2 bottles of water and cashew snacks. We had a view of the tower. |The bathroom was large and the shower had a rain shower head. |There was an electric pot. |The heat wave was over and we got rain. There were umbrellas for our use in the hall. |Downstairs at the restaurant we had a nice assortment for breakfast. We also had burgers for lunch. Delicious along with the sweet potato fries. This was a nice option from traditional Czech cuisine. |We came back and relaxed in the room on the sofa after a busy day at the castle walking up and down the hills!|We talked to the owner when he took us back to the parking lot after our stay he said they bought Adalbert in 2020 and spent the next year renovating and remodeling. They have done an amazing job. You should disregard any reviews prior to 2021. |I highly recommend you stay here....
Read moreWe had a wonderful stay at Pension Adalbert and we would highly recommend it when staying in Cesky Krumlov. Our room was lovely, very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The air conditioning was awesome and much appreciated with the warm temperatures we experienced during our stay. We were provided with bottled water, fresh fruit and some snacks in our lovely room and we liked the honour bar which offered a few different wine selections. The location of this Accomodation is absolutely perfect…just a very short walk to the main square, lovely shops and a great selection of restaurants. ||The hosts were what truly made this a memorable stay. The breakfasts were lovely and on our last day, they provided breakfast very early to accommodate our train departure. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them to meet our every request. We would definitely stay at Pension Adalbert again if we return to...
