This review has its roots before we were even able to visit the hotel. Due to the difficult situation on the Polish and Czech borders with the present floods, I tried to reschedule my visit. After a day of communicating with the hotel via email, I was informed that it was not possible, as it would be unfair to other guests. I understand the policies, but the current situation made me think that a four-star hotel would be a bit more understanding and flexible when it comes to its clients. However, I was informed that I could pay an additional €200 and then reschedule the visit. If the hotel rooms were more expensive during that period, we would have to pay the difference, which is completely understandable. However, if the rooms were cheaper, the hotel would not refund the difference. "Being fair towards clients." Sadly, once I arrived with my wife, other problems occurred. I want to note that the ladies at the reception were very helpful, kind, and professional. They supported me and my wife in two different languages, provided us with maps, and gave us tips. Unfortunately, this is where the positive aspects end. Regarding the appearance of the hotel rooms: The pictures on the website either show the cleanest and best rooms they have or have been edited in Photoshop. Our room had issues: unsafe electronics with wires dangling dangerously under the desk, and the LED strip behind the bed, was poorly secured. There were also stains of mold on the bathroom ceiling and other minor issues. The real problem was with our bedsheets. We noticed some questionable stains in the lower area of the bed, dirt stains on the cover, and the duvet itself was very old and dirty. We asked the hotel three times to change our bedsheets before any action was taken. The cleaning service came once, but since we were preparing to leave, I personally asked them to come back in 10 minutes, by which time we would be out. When we came back, our bedsheets were still not changed. Again, I would like to thank the receptionist ladies who came to our room themselves and resolved the bedsheet issue. It wasn’t their responsibility, yet they took the initiative. Thank you. As for media, the hotel provides okay internet and a TV with apps for Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video, etc. However, they only provide the apps, not the accounts, so you need to log in with your own credentials. Just don’t forget to log out. There is also a selection of rooms on the bottom floor with windows facing the BREAKFAST AREA. All you can see through your window is the area where people are eating. This is one of the most ridiculous ideas I have ever witnessed. I’ve seen other reviews where people had issues changing their rooms, which I believe, but in our case, we were given a new room within minutes. Overall, I do not feel that the value matched the hotel's four-star rating. The combination of room conditions, slow service response, and policies that seemed more focused on the hotel’s profit than on guest satisfaction made the stay disappointing. There are cheaper places that I believe will give you an equal, if not better, experience.

Initially we were allocated a room in the second floor, on the side of the road. The first thing that became apparent was that there was both noise from road coming in, as well as the music from the adjacent room. Upon asking the reception to be moved to a more quiet room, I was told that they never had complaints about noise. Nevertheless, we were transferred to a room on the other side of the building which was indeed more quiet in terms of noise from outside. However, there was still noise from the adjacent rooms. Obviously there is zero soundproofing in that hotel. For example, every time someone flushed the toilet in the other room, we could hear it... At least the room was clean. It was a spacious room but the arrangement of the bed and the desk was inconvenient. For a modern room, it was a negative surprise that there was no socket next to the bed. The bathroom was relatively big but the toilet was hidden behind the basin and there was a bidet toilet next to it which was very accessible but... Unnecessary? There was a bath tub instead of a shower. I didn't mind that but it's not everyone's cup of tea. The bed was very wide but not too comfortable, especially for my wife, it was a bit firm. The pillows were really bad. It was as if there were no pillows. I had to ask for an extra one and with three of them stacked, it was just about ok-ish. The receptionists were generally... lukewarm let's say. Not polite, not rude either but you weren't made to feel welcome. Breakfast was not very good. For a start, if you went for breakfast a couple of hours in, there might be nothing to have. Then, the scrambled eggs I had, had eggshells in. Generally, the quality of the ingredients seemed poor. Coffee wasn't good either. For me, the worst thing is that both me and my wife had the feeling that food hygiene was poor. Every single plate we got had a very distinct egg odour, they were not washed well and that was quite disgusting really. Full marks for location though.

Having stayed at this hotel for a couple days there are some things that are great and some that can definitely be improved. If you dont want to read on further, the easiest way to describe the hotel is that it’s very basic, on everything, about everything. The term “boutique” hotel is definitely in name only, as there is no personal nor unique experience. What wasn’t great: -The rooms are absolutely tiny. The coffee/tea station has two small cups, and no milk for anything. The mattress is nonexistent (see pictures). - The breakfast, not great either, devoid of much variety and all the meats/cheeses are out from early in the morning and not replaced so you can see they go slightly off- evident in how they look + taste. Also, the whole breakfast area is tiny and needs a redesign- no space to move or get anything while someone else is there. Two people max. The best thing about the hotel. The location. Walkable distance to most great amenities and attractions. Overall, I would sadly not recommend this hotel.

Our experience at this hotel was deeply disappointing and frustrating from start to finish.

The breakfast area was completely inadequate for the number of guests staying at the hotel. It was overcrowded and chaotic, with hardly any space to move, let alone enjoy a meal. On top of this, the selection of food was extremely limited, offering little to no variety, which only added to the dissatisfaction.

The condition of the room was unacceptable. Several things were broken, including light switches and lamps that simply didn’t work. The bathroom was equally neglected, with a non-functioning extractor fan. The worst issue by far, however, was the bed. Instead of a proper mattress, there was only a thin mattress topper placed on the bed frame. It was so insubstantial that it felt as though we were sleeping directly on the frame itself, which made for an incredibly uncomfortable and restless night.

The most troubling aspect of our stay was a serious safety incident that occurred during the night. At 5 AM, the fire alarm went off, waking everyone in the hotel. Initially, there was no explanation, and guests were left confused and concerned. It was later revealed that the alarm was triggered by an intruder under the influence of drugs or alcohol who had somehow gained access to the premises. Shockingly, no emergency services were called to handle the situation. Instead, the intruder’s family arrived to pick him up, leading to believe he was known to the staff.

What made this situation even worse was the hotel’s complete failure to follow basic fire safety procedures. The only staff member on duty that night was a young and inexperienced girl who was left to deal with the situation entirely on her own and there’s no security staff in place. Guests were kept waiting in the lobby for over an hour while the alarm continued to ring, with no clear communication from the staff. When the manager eventually arrived, his primary focus seemed to be on speaking with the intruder’s family rather than addressing the concerns of the guests. When I asked him if the elevator was safe to use, he dismissed my question with a laugh and an unhelpful, "I think no."

The following day, instead of a proper acknowledgment of what had happened, guests were given a letter placed in the elevator with a vague explanation and an offer to extend breakfast service until 12 PM. This half-hearted gesture did nothing to address the seriousness of the incident or reassure guests about their safety.

In summary, this hotel failed on every level, from the inadequate facilities to the poorly maintained rooms and the shocking lack of professionalism in handling a major safety issue. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly never...
