It started well - Kampa Cafe is a lovely airy space, we were shown straight to a table and initially received good service accompanied by lovely food. Just before our food was served, we were suddenly asked to move because the staff member explained they needed to set a bigger table. (We were sitting at a larger table and there was only two of us, so we assumed a bigger party was coming in.) We weren't entirely happy, but politely agreed to move. When it became apparent that there was only two people going to be seated at our previous table we queried it with the staff, only to be told that the couple had been given the larger one because they had more food. In what universe do any restaurants actually do this??! And clearly we weren't to be afforded this luxury, had we decided to order anything else...

Perplexed by this, it then became clear why we had been shoved off the table. Some sort of Czech influencer had come in, been shown to a table at the back of the restaurant and either she had asked for one by the window, or they had offered it to her. Obviously making sure there would be enough room for all of her food to look good so that she could be photographed with it in the best possible light. Sure enough, her food was served and a good 5-10 minutes was spent going through the usual facile insta-motions for the camera lens.

Whether the influencer had asked to be moved to our table or whether the restaurant offered is irrelevant. What matters is that we were made to feel like second class citizens. As paying customers we were made to feel less important than someone who could potentially give the restaurant some cheap publicity.

We spoke to two members of staff and told them how unhappy we were. They apologised but had absolutely no other answer to our complaint. Needless to say, nothing was done or offered to us in recompense. Our meal was totally ruined by the inability of the staff in dealing with the situation.

As an aside, I am a business owner myself ( I own a vacation rental) and I have hosted influencers in the past. I would never EVER cancel a guest's booking to accommodate them, nor tell a paying guest that the rental was not available just so an influencer could stay and promote my property. This is professional etiquette, unlike that displayed at...

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Kampa Cafe. To put it mildly, it was a nightmare from start to finish.

Firstly, let's talk about the staff. I encountered nothing short of rudeness from the moment I walked in. It's as if they were doing me a favor by allowing me to dine there. The lack of basic courtesy was appalling.

Now, onto the food. "Fresh" is the last word I would use to describe what was served to me. The produce seemed like it had been sitting around for days, and the taste confirmed my suspicions. But that's not even the worst part.

The main course of my dissatisfaction came when I discovered mold in the food. Mold! How does a supposedly reputable establishment let something like that happen? It's not only revolting but also a serious health hazard.

As if that wasn't enough, when I ordered an orange juice, I found worms swimming in it. Yes, you read that correctly—worms. It's beyond comprehension how something like this could occur. And what's worse, when I brought it to the attention of the manager, instead of apologizing or offering a refund, they had the audacity to be rude and dismissive.

This leads me to my final point: the utter lack of respect for customers. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for this establishment. They seem content to serve subpar food and treat patrons with disdain.

In conclusion, I strongly advise against dining at Kampa Cafe. The experience was nothing short of a nightmare, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere...

EDIT: We took my parents here to show them the best eggs Benedict’s we had in Prague. Only one out of the 8 eggs was soft and Benedict. We mentioned it to the waiter and he said that the cooks are busy today, and didn’t even apologize. Later the manager came to ask how we were and we said the same, and he also didn’t even apologize. No discount given. One day the best eggs benedict, another one the worst.

——————————- Together with my wife and a good friend we went here for our weekly brunch. The place is more than stylish and has a good feeling. The waiter was friendly and did his job well by checking on us regularly, which is quite hard to see, honestly speaking here in the Czech republic.

When it comes to the food: it was the best eggs benedict we have ever had so far. And we (especially my wife) had quite some. The (home made) toast was perfect, not so hard and not to soft. Great sauce and eggs combined with the bacon for me, was great. My wife said that the salmon was perfectly fresh and tasty.

The Ducat buns were full of flavor as well. The sauce was great and not sugar sweet as sometimes would be the case. The buns were fresh and soft.

My wife loved the coffee and the homemade lemonade was great as well! (I hate coffee).

It is busy, so it is more than recommended to reserve upfront.

One of our top places now in Prague...

We came here during our trip to Prague last winter and really enjoyed it. We went on a Saturday around 9:30 AM and waited about 20 minutes for a table. The high-top seats by the window became available first, which worked out great since there were just two of us. Everything we ordered was super tasty and looked amazing. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, and the dishes felt thoughtful and well put together. My husband got an Irish coffee and said it was really good. The vibe inside is warm and cozy, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It’s a great spot to relax and enjoy a slow brunch. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a cute café with good food and great service, just a few steps away from Legion Bridge.

A totally amazing place. Just a few minutes form Charles Bridge. My gf and I have been looking for a nice, cozy place for a breakfast. The preferences we had that it had to be a breakfast that makes you feel full for a while. And this is exactly a place. not only was it full of energy, but it was extremely tasty, fresh, beautifully prepared and served. The cafe itself is very atmospheric as well. Very polite and smiley staff. Beautiful menus, and the place is pretty packed (I reckon people absolutely love pancakes here, and how tremendously pretty the servings look like). I added this cafe to my “eat-in” list on Google maps, and when I’m back to Prague some time in the future, I will absolutely hit this place again. P.S.: They accept cards and cash.
