You have to ask yourself why would you pay for a standard hotel room when you can stay in a mini suite here for a similar price! We had a separate bedroom with closing doors, and the bedroom included sofa, desk and television. The main area had dining table, wardrobe and kitchen area complete with hob and everything you need to prepare your own meals. Large bathroom across the hallway, which included washing machine. Large cupboard in the hallway with ironing board and safe. Everything spotlessly clean and in great condition.||||We had a small issue on the 2nd evening where the water would not come out of the shower attachment, it only came out of the bath tap, and by not having 24 hour reception, we could not call on anyone to look at it. This was the only issue we had, and it certainly would not put us off staying here again. ||||Location is excellent, you have a tram stop at the end of the street, just 2 minutes walk away, plus we walked to Wencelas Square/Old Town Square easy enough, its probably about 30 minutes maximum walk, with some great river views along the way when you cross the bridge - Charles Bridge on one side, and Vysehrad in the distance on the other side.||||We had breakfast downstairs in the Lounge Cafe on our last morning, the food and service were excellent, and it is a very nice venue, but the prices are not cheap.||||There are a couple of small supermarkets/convenience stores within a couple of minutes walk, great for snacks, water, beers and even last minute Prague souvenirs.||||We will definitely stay here again, highly...
Read moreHunger Wall Residence is the perfect place to stay in Prague.|The apartments are really beautiful, spacious, sunny, well furnished and fully equipped (kitchenette, dishwasher, washing machine&dryer, kettle, airdryer, iron, ironing board, a large walk-in wardrobe, a roomy bathroom also with bidet). We found also tea bags, sugar, coffee grains for filtered coffee (newly supplied everyday), a piece of czech chocolate as a welcome, a nice guide about Prague. The cleaning is super (and it's done after 10.00 so you have plenty of time to go out for breakfast and come back for a bit before going out to explore the city). And last but not least, wall sockets are in every corner. |Staff is great, always very helpful: even when the reception is closed, they answer by phone or by email in few minutes. |The area around is really nice, with lots of good or famous places to have breakfast and dinner and the residence is only 50 metres from the bus stop with 3/4 tram lines. Actually we walked a lot because everything is within walking distance: Malà Strana center is only 900m far, the famous Old Town Square 1,6 km, the Dancing House 1,2 km with beautiful walkings along the river, but the tram lines are very convenient to visit the Castle up on the hill, even after all the day walkings or to go back to the center for dinner.|They also arranged for us the transfer from and to the airport (it's an extra but it's not expensive).|Hunger Wall is an excellent place to stay and we are going to recommend it to all of our friends...
Read moreI would have given this place 5 stars, but the only downside was that their internet network simply didn't work with my phone. In the end, it was kind of a relief for me but I can imagine that it could be a bit of a catastrophe for the wrong person. Everything else is just perfect. Lucy, who looks after the flats, is a great host and went above and beyond the call of duty. The rooms are pretty much spotless.
One of the reasons to stay here is the charming, very unique furniture. As Lucy explained, "it's not from IKEA". We ended up staying in two separate rooms (on the first and fourth floors) and each was uniquely and very tastefully furnished, adding to the air of Bohemian charm which matches also the entire street it's located on. One other reviewer has mentioned that the location is a bit too far away from the rest of Prague's attractions. Fact is, Prague is small enough of a city that you can walk pretty much anywhere very comfortably (we circuited the city more than once in a single day, in what I believed to be one of the hottest days of the year in mid-June). The hotel is also a very manageable walk when it comes to Prague Castle. In short, the location is actually ideal and gives you access to some charming neighbourhood restaurants.
On the point of restaurants: make a point of having breakfast at the downstairs cafe. The staff are amazing and the...
