You really must try this establishment! My daughter and I were on vacation in Prague, and our last evening there happened to be her birthday. She read the reviews for ART&FOOD, she secured a dinner reservation, and off we go! We enjoyed a feast of all our senses. Beautiful artwork decorated the walls, a brilliant musician entertained with live music, and the food and wine were superb! My daughter's palate is more sophisticated than mine, so she ordered her food off the menu, and our server suggested wines to compliment her courses. I took the simpler way and chose the degustation menu. The presentation of the food was gorgeous, it was fresh, and my daughter and I savored every bite. Unfortunately, I am not accustomed to drinking very much, and I did get somewhat tipsy towards the end of the meal, but they took my drunken smiles and rock-n-roll hands when "Sweet Home Alabama " was performed very graciously. The service was excellent, and our server was very knowledgeable and informative about each wine, as well as the food we ate. As a side note to our sweet server......I hope I didn't embarrass you too much when I said you were a god, but I was sincere. Back to the review. Please do NOT miss the opportunity to go to FOOD&ART for a totally pleasurable and satisfying evening....

Definitely one of the most unique places in Prague. The restaurant operates as a self-proclaimed club. Before entering you have to ring the bell (the doors to the restaurant are closed), after which you are mostly greeted by the owner himself, who is also probably going to take care of you the whole night. The place is usually not really crowded, so it's perfect if you are looking for a more intimate setting.

At first the owner/ waiter presents the selection of cuts that are offered (the price is written on the packages, just keep in mind that the price is per kg, and that you will pay double the amount, since price there is for takeaway). The selection is very diverse, you can find beef from all over the world (Japan, US, New Zealand, etc.), as well as other meet, such as, duck or chicken. After you choose your main protein, you will be served a starter in a form of a selection of various homemade products (cuts of ham, sausages, pate, etc.), and then based on your preferences, the owner can prepare a new plate consisting of the samples you tried before and new ones that are most likely fit your taste.

As mentioned in the beginning, it is definitely one of the more unique places in Prague, so I can wholeheartedly recommend it to...

Arrived at 2030 to an empty restaurant. This did not bode well. As a group of 8 (4 couples) we waited 20 minutes to be served drinks (in an empty place!). Finally served, it was clear there was little interest in us being there. Zero music or atmosphere, despite seeing reviews that this was a fun place! No wine list or prices, so you have no idea what to order and are totally in the waiters hands. Food was good quality and well cooked but unfortunately there is no pricing for the meat. They weigh the steak, given you an idea of cost (expensive), but you have no real idea of what the final cost will be. Ultimately €230 per couple for a 2 course meal with wine in Prague, left us feeling a little ripped off. Basically London prices for average wine and simple food, in what they describe as a private dining experience. I would avoid, as there are plenty of restaurants serving great food, with a great atmosphere,...

Excellent food and service but room for improvement. The service was excellent but I’m not impressed with the wines recommended or the fact you are just brought a couple of choices, and possibly more for a choice of tasting before getting a glass. Wines prices aren’t clear and you are asked to taste the other wine in the same glass. I think it is better to have a standard wine list and offer customised expanded list of options. Food is very good all round and has a refined standard and presentation. We were a bit disappointed by the calamari which could be better caramelised and have more sauce but was instead served with purée and beans and nuts which made it a really dry and unsatisfying experience. Good ambience and live music.

We had the most wonderful time at Art&Food! We ordered the smoked trout and steak tartare to start - both were delicious and beautifully presented. Then we had the rabbit and the rutabaga cream - again, both extremely delicious. The rabbit was tender and perfectly cooked. The rutabaga had an amazing marrow and truffle on top which finished off the dish perfectly. Service was impeccable and wines recommended were perfect. Great that we got to have a taste before committing to a recommendation but that said the sommelier nailed it first go anyway. The space itself is lovely and very cosy and intimate despite being quite open. A must visit restaurant for anyone visiting Prague!
