This was going to be a 4 star review but the checkout process was beyond awful. We were physically locked inside the hotel building and our taxi driver tried to enter the code and we still couldn’t open the door until we called the hotel and got the instructions for the backup key. The QR code provided at checkout doesn’t work, there are no instructions for where to leave the key, we left it in the room and only saw the key drop box much later when we were trapped inside the building.
The funny part of it is that during the checkin when we entered the building we were accosted by an aggressive man in a kippah who said he was the building security, he didn’t believe we were with the hotel and made us show him our booking confirmation. Hilarious that he was nowhere to be seen or contacted when we actually needed help leaving.
The rooms themselves are clean and nice but the walls are very thin and you can hear everything very clearly, but at night it was fine...
Read moreThe location of the hotel or better to say apartment is great, super quiet, beautiful and easy access to anything touristic. The check in process is a bit tricky as it is done by a machine and the instructions sent are a bit incomplete but I luckily had the help of another guest. He said he had to call to figure it out. The room was big, beautiful, spacious and clean, great temperature and I felt safe, I really like this place BUT I got 2 issues that were unsolvable: the mattress was super soft at some parts and this gave me a huge back pain, this could be just personal preference, so if you like a soft mattress go for it. I called the manager and he told me that all rooms had the same mattress. And the 2nd was that seems like the router for the Internet or some sort of machine was in the room making a noise every 5 or 10 min, which woke me up several times at time, so as a light sleeper with my earplugs on, it was quite annoying because I could still hear...
Read moreWe are away from home for our honeymoon for 10 days. We visited cities such as Rome, Venice, Naples. But our favorite hotel was Prague Old Town Residence. First of all, the room was great. it was extraordinarily clean and only a few hundred meters from the city centre. It is in a safe area. Although the room was a penthouse, we did not feel cold. Insulation was good. All facilities were available in the room. It has a great breakfast, you must try it. The food is very tasty and the ambiance is very nice. If we visit Prague again, we will definitely stay at this hotel again. One of the most important reasons why we think so is the friendly staff. Special thanks to Mr. Oleg, Mr. Batu, Mr. Vasili, Ms. Ivanka and Mr. Pavel, who were always smiling to us from check-in to check-out. We felt like at home. It was nice knowing you....
