It was the worst place in Prague we visited! We were visiting this "restaurant" at the end of September, not many tourists because of COVID-19 and poor weather. We fancied the interior design of this place, so we said to the waiter that we gonna come back, and we did - it was a mistake.

It was our last night in Prague, so we wanted it to be nice and memorable, but in a good way. We order a ginger tea and ajran to drink, Arabic salad, and some soup to eat. The soup was tasteless - my friend asked for salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Unfortunately, it didn't help, it just made the soup tastes with lemon. It was like eating water. No taste at all. The Arabic salad was sooo bad. I ate a spoon of it to try it and left it. I know how the Arabic salad should taste with fresh ingredients. They just served a chopped tomato, paprika, and cucumber, which during the autumn season was just tasteless.

Now to the fun part - the waitress that was serving us, didn't even ask me, why I don't eat my meal. She just looked at me and ask: 'finished?" and took my plate away. My friend and I used to be waiters and we always asked our customers if they're satisfied with the food, especially when we saw someone is giving back the whole meal! Then she just gave us a receipt and she told us at the end of the order that we cannot pay by card. It was too much - I ask why she didn't inform us before that it's just cash only. She left to pick some help and bring a waiter with her. He was way nicer, he explained that they had trouble with a connection that's why we cannot pay with card, we told him about the quality of food, bad quality of service, and that the only tasty thing was a ginger tea - but oh well, it was just hot water with fresh ginger in it, you can't ruin that.

He apologized and gave us a discount, but still, we needed to pay for food we didn't even eat and just tried a piece. Not recommended - I came back to my hotel and the sandwich from the minibar was tastier and at least I didn't went sleep hungry.

Sad, because we wanted to have some good dinner, have a few drinks, but after that meal, we just rushed away from this place.

PS: The waiter told us that during this day, the main chef was checking the quality of food - but I'm working with chefs of few restaurants. Don't know who would be that unthoughtful of serving meals that are good only with fresh, summer ingredients, when it's autumn/winter and vegetables they used are without taste.

Good luck with running...

Good food, mediocre drinks, nice service, slow deliver. Come here for lunch, but not for a quick drink.

Food: I ordered an avocado burger. I expected a hamburger with avocado on it. I received a burger WITH AN AVOCADO FOR BUNS (see pictures). This concept is super creative and unique; it would take the urban US by storm. 10/10 for this creation.

Drinks: The drink selection is good, but it is really missing on mixing. Drinks come with ice, but relatively warm - you need to stir it yourself to cool it down. Further, most drinks with sugary components wind up with sugar sitting on the bottom of the glass rather than mixed into the drink. These aren't the most expensive cocktails in town so I don't expect stratospheric service, but a quick stir or shake would be nice.

Service: The waitstaff is very friendly and helpful - we've been there a few times and they have been willing to cater the menu to us. That said, service here is very slow. Simple drinks can take upwards of 15 minutes to arrive (unmixed, see previous point) and food takes even longer, especially if there are other patrons.

Overall, definitely stop by Kafka Snob Food. Just be prepared to stir your own cocktail and make conversation with your table until your delicious...

I've read through a lot of the bad reviews on here, and I don't know where these people come from or what they are expecting. It's like they've never been to central/Eastern Europe and experienced bad customer service, or not even bad, but “unfriendly”. And prices? I mean it's Prague people, and a prime location. Possibly they are right and the staff was bad and the place was overpriced, but I've also heard it’s under new management now. This is my third time being in Prague and my second time coming here. I came in expecting a nice relaxing cool atmosphere coffee shop, and that's exactly what I got. I like the design quite a bit, as you can see from the pictures. I also like that they have plugs everywhere for electricity! I was treated nicely and even given a glass of water as I was just relaxing (which is pretty rare in this part of europe). It might be a little overpriced, but hey I'm in Prague, still cheaper than London or Paris. So I gave it 5 stars to help balance out the over exaggerating stuck up people leaving bad reviews. Give it a shot, don't expect a fancy restaurant, and don't expect dirt cheap, and you won't be...

Today I was visiting Kafka Hummus Cafe, I love the space, the food and the service ,(that is why I came back). I was fully disappointed since we asked if we could pay with card and they told us that only cash is accepted and we could use a “high commission fee ATM” that they have downstairs. We decided to go a regular ATM and returned 10 mins after. The first thing they brought us was an unsolicited small portion of pink Hummus with deep fried pita chips. When the bill came, the surprise was that they charged us per person 75kc (2,5€) for that table spoon of hummus that we did not order. I took it as first as a courtesy of the restaurant, as they brought it without asking. The waiter said that they are obliged by the owner to bring it to every table and charge for it automatically. So if at least it was some generous portion and tasty starter, I would have accepted it. But it is not the case. It Is a pity because the prices are nos precisely cheap to charge “couvert” on the top of that and is a casual kitchen restaurant to at does not justify charging couvert. Not happy with the cheeky charges… be aware of that…
