We really enjoyed staying at Monk Rooms in Chania in the old port or limani as they call it. The location is ideal as it's walking distance to some of the best traditional restaurants and local cafes; The beds were extremely comfortable, towels offered were soft and fluffy...it was a 5 start experience indeed. Location is nice but the place isn’t soundproofed. There is loud music until 3am each evening.
Shower is extremely tight. You will get a towel/sheet changed once every few days.
Very steep stairs; you will need to carry your luggage.
Mattresses are poor quality and there is so much dust everywhere. The old wooden wardrobes have handles falling off when you try to open them.
