I was determined to find the cheapest place to stay in Ubud! This was $17 a night!||My partner wasn't keen when he saw the place!- it had a long walkway only as wide as a bike to get through to it. No a/c and no TV which he wasn't pleased about. But I wanted a different experience from the resort we stayed at in Legian.||Wasn't much of a view of rice paddys it seemed dry up there. I loved the room (ask for the second storey if you can do without the a/c) it was basic but very cute I thought.||Breakfast was lovely and our host served it on our balcony.||Location was perfect right in the main part of Ubud walking distance to shops/bars and restaurants.||Renovations were happenning while we were there. It is also very quiet. No toiletries ie soap provided so bring that and maybe some...

Read moreI stayed here for 2 weeks in May and 4 further days in June. I absolutely love it here. The rooms are huge with modern bathrooms and a good hot shower. The breakfast is delicious, especially the banana pancakes which were the best in my whole 2 month stay in Indonesia. The rooms are cleaned daily and the gardens are beautifully cared for. The location of the bungalows is great, just down a narrow lane off the Monkey Forest Road so close and very central to everything but also peaceful.||I am back again in September for a week and already looking forward to seeing Kadek and his lovely family again.||Rice Paddy truly is...
