I recently had the pleasure of dining at Salud, a charming Spanish restaurant nestled in the heart of Melaka, Malaysia. As someone who has spent several months away from Spain, finding this gem made me feel right at home and reminded me of the incredible gastronomy our country has to offer.

The owners, Breogan and Maria, have done an outstanding job of recreating the warmth and hospitality of a traditional Spanish restaurant. Their passion for their culture and cuisine is evident in every dish they serve.

From the moment I entered, I was greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making me feel comfortable and eager to explore their menu.

The culinary journey began with a perfectly executed tortilla de patata, which was simply divine. The delicate balance of flavors and textures transported me back to my homecountry, where tortilla de patata are a staple dish. The pulpo, or octopus, was full of flavor, while the star of the show was undoubtedly the melt-in-your-mouth jamón ibérico.

I enjoyed my experience so much that I dined at Salud twice during my visit to Melaka. On my second visit, I tried other delicious dishes, such as the secreto ibérico, ensaladilla, croquetas, and coca catalana. Each dish was expertly prepared and showcased the diverse flavors of Spanish cuisine.

Salud has managed to capture the essence of Spanish cuisine in a foreign land, and it has quickly become a must-visit destination for me in Melaka. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic taste of Spain, whether they're long-time fans or new to the cuisine.

In conclusion, Salud is a delightful Spanish oasis that offers the perfect blend of delicious food, friendly service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Do not hesitate to pay them a visit – you won't be...

We celebrate our mum birthday together with mother's day last month. I choose this restaurant because I had read through the review and I did went once before and I feel great on my past visit but end up we had a terrible dining experience here. First, the food quality didn't meet the price it cost. We ordered tapas, steak, paella and one dessert. The tapas is good. The steak was abit stinky. We do told the waiter but end up he just bring it to the kitchen and make it fully cooked and served back to us with the same STINKY STEAK. I am sure that your staff can speak English but how come they couldn't understand? And the pealla rice is not fully cooked but this is not a big deal and the waiter send it to the kitchen and cook for us. The dessert was good, no comment for that. Secondly, the waiter after we complain about the steak he become unfriendly and purposely ignore us when we raise our hand. There is not much table on that day because it's weekday. We can feel the vibe that we are not welcoming. That unfriendly waiter is also the cashier that day. End up we do finish the food because we are not born in wealthy family and my parents don't want to waste the food. The review sounds similar right? Yes my sister just wrote a review few days ago. We wish to let "the owner" know how is your staff running your restaurant but seems like you don't need it. I do really hope the the previous friend Salud Tapas can resume because I do relly enjoy for my first visit. The one star is for the only friendly waiter who served us for that day. Thank you event we don't know your name.

Service very very bad. The manager( eurasian woman heard she is the part of this restaurant) very very rude. 1st time I encountered so rude manager. We make earlier reservations on Valentines Day. When we arrived, were told our table at level 2 but nobody show us the way go up. I have to asked the waiter where ? The waiter just showed us the way up but din guide us, and we have to combine tables by ourselves. Luckily my daughter have screen shot what we have ordered. First time trying this restaurant after doing a search online and decided to give it a try. Walk in without any reservation with my wife and 2 kids. Place was nicely set up, the only issue was their tables at courtyard area as the area is tight and have uneven ground, it’s not very suitable for table of four ( can be seen in my photos attached) Request to change table due to safety reason but was told it was fully booked ( although it was weekdays and the restaurant was pretty empty). Personally I won’t recommend here if you are looking for a proper dinner. It’s more suitable for chilling out with some light bites. Sangria was decent however the food is pretty average. We ordered their so called premium aged rib eye steak and it was a big disappointment. Waiting time about 40mins and the steak was served more like a medium rare!( although we had specifically request it to be done medium well on 2 occasions)We did sound out to the service staff about the steak after it was served and they suggested to bring back and recook but we rejected it ( worrying about the waiting time and also the quality of the beef wasn’t good enough for the wait) We left the place disappointed leaving 80% of the steak untouched and the so called fully booked area was still left unoccupied.
